That pile of steaming horse shit was written on March 18th, so we know it's not true or it would have been confirmed by now. Somebody is always startin something. What are they gonna say he's too reclusive for even his own death to be confirmed? :P

Thanks for sharing this with us Laura.

Why would anyone start such a rumor?

People are just cruel.

I mean I know there are some Steve Perry Loons here,
and I am proud to be one of them,
but to post that stuff is just hurtfull and insensitive.

Where are Lori and Cyndy when you need them?
We need to hear some good news about Steve, it is long overdue!
Someone send a message to these girls and let them know we need to hear some good Steve stuff.

Peace.

This rumor started up about a month ago. I think the reason it started is because
Steve Perry, the WRITER has cancer, is raising a 5 year old by himself, and has no money.
That STeve Perry's fans have been all over twitter and other websites trying to raise money
for him. They write about Steve Perry dying without clarifying that it is Steve Perry the WRITER.
There are also many people that write about Steve Perry, the Educator, but they say things like
"Steve Perry knows how black people feel" and the next message is "Steve Perry is a Racist says Sarah Silverman."
Then we get the "Steve Perry is dead", "Steve Perry needs money as he is dying", "Steve Perry caught a mouse
this morning" (some girl named her cat Steve Perry). Also, "Steve Perry just released a new album" except its
Steve Perry of the Cherry Poppin Daddies. "Steve Perry Announces another Hall of Fame athlete" not our SP,
but this one, Pro Football Hall of Fame Executive Director, Steve Perry. Our Steve Perry gets kudos for many
things really meant for another Steve Perry, but then he also gets caught up in the confusing posts. It's not
OUR Steve Perry that is dying or is dead. When information is moving at the speed of light, and retweets can
go even faster, rumors can go viral within minutes. Didn't you all grow up with your mother's telling you, "don't believe
everything you read?" Well this is why!!

OUR Steve is the guy who occasionally does sound work in films, is it not? Or did I get my chain pulled on that one, too? Laura?
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Was his performance not up to Perry's standards? Maybe Perry had them remove it.

If Sony is having clips removed from the Internet, it may be that they are enforcing some kind of copyright. I don't know if they are putting together a new DVD or just getting particular. I used to be able to bring up a specific live version of DSB that was pulled and is no longer available on YouTube - I hate that!

Sony might have just got around to taking it offline, or maybe they were only recently made aware that it was up.

Sucks, but they do own it.

Yeah, it COULD be that they are enforcing a copyright issue....
Or it COULD mean that Steve Perry is getting ready to......
Nah, never mind :D :D

Really? Are you talking about the boots? I didn't know Sony could claim copyright infringement on those since they're essentially home video's in someone's private collection, and there is no other official film footage of those concerts.

Hell, if it were'nt for those boot, I wouldn't have even known there was a FTLOSM tour.

Any video showing a performance can't be put up for public comsumption with out the copyright holders permisssion. Even video covers of songs can be pulled if the copyright holders demand it. Remember all the Arnel covers that got pulled because of Aerosmith's publishing company? Just because you're not selling it doesn't mean you can still display it in a public setting.

Thanks. I did not know that.

Although, I must say in this case, I think Sony may be cutting off it's nose in spite of its face. But, it's their world...we're just living in it...
