"The best thing about the Gladstone is the karaoke. If you can really sing, this is where you do it. Finding ourselves bored midway through a couch potatoey Saturday night last summer, my wife had the whim to change outfits, cross the street and grab a table in the Melody Bar. A skinny, mulleted man decked out in full Canadian tuxedo — jean jacket and jeans — took the stage. His seemingly cheesy song choice: Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’. Ah, but then he opened his mouth. Every note was perfect, his voice an unbelievably precise mimic of former Journey singer Steve Perry. The bar exploded with whoops and applause."

Hey Froy, Steve Perry is slimmer nowadays so you never know, for he said in his Q&A that he did like small venues........
