Life is full of risks and the upside of this would have been well worth the gamble for Neal.
All bullshit aside, when you look at the facts and realize the loyalty they showed toward Perry, it's really no wonder that he can't show his face or care to be around them. He's simply ashamed. They waited for a decade for him to tour, and he did ... with others. They waited 2 years for him to make a
decision on hip surgery. Then they paid him to sit at home. That's loyalty (and, arguably, stupidity) beyond comparison. That guy was never wronged by anyone in Journey. Not ever. But he sure wronged them ... over and over.
