Former Journey vocalist Steve Perry has some advice for his ex-bandmates: hire back Jeff Scott Soto!

In an interview with MelodicRock.com, Perry said that of the three singers who followed in his footsteps in Journey, Jeff Scott Soto is the most talented. “And of all three maybe they should have stuck with him and continued to write music, but that might have required that they let him in emotionally a little more,” Perry said.

In the extensive and far-reaching interview, Perry opened up about how difficult it was for him to see Journey continue without him after he was delayed by a crucial hip replacement operation. “They were trying to get me to either go to surgery right away or they wanted to move on,” Perry said. “And so I had to respect that at some level, looking back.”

As for his own current music, Perry says he is in the sketch stage of writing a new album and is in the process of setting up a home studio. He said his own sense of perfectionism could get in the way of a release date any time soon.

“The only thing that would stop you from hearing it would be me because I’m my own worst enemy. I have always been,” Perry said.
Perry's good natured bonhomie & the world’s most charmin smile, knocked fans off their feet. Sportin a black tux, gigs came alive as he swished around the stage thrillin audiences w/ charisma that instantly burnt the oxygen right out of the venue.TR.com

 Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ! What irresponsible journalism. No where in Andrew's interview did Steve even remotely suggest that Journey should kick Arnel to the curb and re-hire Jeff. If a reporter (and I use the term loosely) is going to take content from someone else's interview, they should at least be able to read.

LOL I will knock perry on a lot of things but this is ludicrous twisting of his words.
