Freedom of Thought...

Postby tater1977 » Tue Jan 10, 2012 7:46 am

Over the years, SP/J era ...was the timeline I grew up in. I have the utmost respect for that era.
That music is timeless. Lately, I been slowly creeping out and listening to the pre/Steve albums.

Steve's interviews are getting more and more in detail and honesty.

I was told a long time ago, to be alive...you have to be honest with yourself.
It takes some balls, to admit to some wrong doings in your life & even more
balls to admit to others....

Just wondering ..how many of us have done wrong in our lives..& would publically
admit to it?

How many of us have had our 15 mins of fame? Did we partake of the benefits it
offered? Then after a while .. go hey ...this is out of control..& walk away from
it? Or how many stayed in it..& wished you would have walked away?

The older we get, we can look back on our past & laugh at some things we did
& some things we wish we hadn't done.. LOL & some things that should remain
unknown. No excuses ..just learn from our mistakes.

Steve just sounds like he's in a great spot in his life and enjoying it.

I guess to me its simple...you either enjoy the music or you don't. It's that simple.
No need to go around denigrating someone, if your don't like the music.
Just click on that lil "X" and go listen to your fav group.

Whether Steve puts out another CD or not...people are still going to criticize
..instead of "them" not being able to move on... I guess its part of their "human nature"..

I've seen the best and worst sides of humans. Some of this shit will remain forever
in memory. But it's called LIFE...Lets all enjoy it..
Sorry for the rambling...
Perry's good natured bonhomie & the world’s most charmin smile, knocked fans off their feet. Sportin a black tux, gigs came alive as he swished around the stage thrillin audiences w/ charisma that instantly burnt the oxygen right out of the venue.TR.com

Great post Tater! I agree with you on the fact that I think he's enjoying his life now. I'm happy for him, and I really appreciate the songs he has given us. His vocals will be forever etched in my brain, and I truly think that he is one of the best two singers of all time. To me the other one is Lou Gramm. I hope he is finding happiness. My only beef with him is that unless he's really ready to release an album... he needs to stop teasing his fans. That's it! Stop talking about it in every interview, or just be up front and honest and say "well, I'm just writing demos and playing around, but will probably never release another album". That's all.

Again, great post and very true.
