Did you have that scenario pegged or what! Proof that dude right there in the clip is going to make $130 at least off that pic he got Perry to sign. So not cool.......

It's too bad Steve couldn't tell them to put it where the sun don't shine when they were swarming all over him, but that makes for bad press.

One thing that I have always found so funny is "certificates of authenticity." The very person who is selling the item is the one printing up the COAs assuring you it's legit. And this guy says "hey, my boss saw the signing." That is beyond stupid. These two guys work for the same company so it isn't reassuring to me at all when I read something like that. Of course, their situation is a bit different here because they do have the video of SP signing the stuff, but I see so many other sites where they provide a COA that they printed up.

This whole "poor Steve" thing is just retarded. He's a celebrity. Celebrities get asked for autographs all the time. He doesn't have to sign them. And if he does decide to, why sign a whole fucking stack of albums for 1 guy? That's just stupid. And who cares about bad publicity when you're retired?

Think about it Jim, there are a lot of people who say bad stuff about him as it is. Darned if you do, Darned if you don't. The ultimate catch 22. If he didn't, they would go around saying what a schmuck he was, too full of himself to sign a "few" autographs....I am sure they would fail to mention they had the whole JOURNEY DISCOGRAPHY tucked under their arms, two or three stacks at least.   I am sure he would rather sign regardless of their motives, and take a higher road.

Thought it interesting, when presented with guitar cover plates, that he refused. He asked the guy, "How many guitars you gonna sell? I don't sell those." In other words, he only signs the stuff that he sells. I liked that.

Let's face it, those guys wouldn't even be there if there weren't a market for this stuff. So, the up side of all of this is; at least SOMEbody SOMEwhere is still interested in Steve Perry after all of these years. I think I'll save my pity for "poor Steve" for when people STOP asking for autographs.

Do you ever wonder what ever happened to Rodney Allen Rippy? Yeah, me neither...just sayin'

Looks like the same guy to me. Someone should stalk the stalkers -- see how they like it.

Hey you guys!

All I know is from the last Q&A on Fan Asylum I won the two greatest hits albums
personally autographed for me by Steve Perry. They arrived just in time for my Birthday!
What a fantastic present for me, I cherish them so much.

I want Lora and Cyndi to know just how much that meant to me to win these precious items.
I want Steve to know that to actually get them in time for my Birthday
when I was going through such a rough time in my life and I mean really rough.

I am so thankful for these gifts that I never expected and they mean so much to me.
Words can't explain how much that recieving them from him meant to me.
It was just so special. I look at them every day and think how luckly I am!!!

So to those stalker people out there I say, how dare you take from the celebs and make a living by lying
and cheating them out of their fame for your profit, they are vultures and shoud be arrested for stealing fame for profit.

Anyway, if I ever did see Steve out and about I'd just go numb, but I'd admire him from a far.
He gave us so much of himself with his gifts of music that I am forever grateful.

So that's my two cents for today!

Peace.

I don't understand why anyone would want to purchase an autographed item. It's just not the same as if they autographed it to you. I won't purchase one. It's just stupid to me.
