I remember a comment is that some of the songs sounded more like a scorpions album, and the synths were strong as Frontiers.

Can't recall what it was exactly, but something about 'yeah, can you believe what those guys are doing!' So the theory of too many Journey clones and wanting to go in a different direction makes sense.

Yeah, I think he was pissed because in his mind, they were just a Journey knock off. Wasn't that also the interview where it was mentioned that Perry sounded like a battered seal?

Someone copies what you do, they get the kudos for it, while you get passed over and ridiculed -- this is not an example of egomaniac behavior. He's asking for fair consideration. I'd feel the same way. I think most people would.

However, does anyone know the exact tracklisting for the album in it's completed form, or if not, a list of all the intended songs for the album as he would've wanted it? Thanks

I'll try to get back on topic.
I've never seen an official track listing for the "Against The Wall" album. From my time searching the internet the songs that have been used in an attempt to make an ATW album are listed below. I've seen many different orders of songs. So there is no one correct track list. Maybe there are those out there that have more info then I am able to find.
When You're in Love (For the First Time)
Against the Wall
Forever Right or Wrong (Love's Like a River)
Summer of Luv
Melody
Once in a Lifetime, Girl
What Was
If You Need Me, Call Me
Can't Stop
Friends Of Mine
It Won't Be You
My version is in the following order:
Summer Of Luv
Against The Wall
Can't Stop
When You're In Love (For The First Time)
Once In A Lifetime, Girl
If You Need Me, Call Me
Friends Of Mine
Melody
Forever Right Or Wrong (Love's Like A River)
What Was
It Won't Be You
STORY_TELLER wrote:Are you sure all those tracks are from Against The Wall? The reason I ask is because there was a 5 track LP released by Sony post FTLOSM (and years before greatest hits plus 5), which had photos of Perry sourced from FTLOSM as the cover. Those tracks were:
If You Need Me, Call Me
Melody
Forever Right Or Wrong
What Was
It Won't Be You
