If you are quiet, you can almost hear the high-pitched voice of Steve Perry singing the San Francisco Giants into the World Series.

It's fitting that a storied franchise with a long legacy would have an anthem. As the Giants return to the World Series, we delve into the tunes that will echo about AT&T Park.

As many know, we are referring to "Don't Stop Believing," a song belted out by super fan Steve Perry, and mimicked by every fan who has stayed around past the eighth inning of a Giants game the home team may have been losing.

It's the rally cry, and one the lead singer is proud to lend to the San Francisco sports team.

Perry, born in Hanford, California in 1949, is a rock legend, but something else entirely to Giants fans. If things get dire in the week ahead, you can bet the song he made famous will serve as a crutch to get them all through it.

Here is Game 5 of the 2010 NLCS, one the Giants would end up losing to the Phillies, 4-2. The best part comes at the 50-second mark when fans realize Perry is in the house.

He joins in the sing-along just like any night, but making it altogether unique in the process. While the Giants would lose the game, they would win the series and the subsequent World Series.

The song has even spawned some parodies that were kept just as dear as the original. Here is the famed Ashkon remix done for the 2010 playoffs.

And, of course, we have to include the Journey song that is specifically about the city by the bay, "Lights."

The video is taken from Game 2 of the 2010 World Series against the Texas Rangers, a game the Giants won, 9-0.

San Francisco hopes the results are the same as they were a couple years ago. Either way, you can bet the songs of Journey and the legendary voice of Steve Perry will be playing throughout.

THE STEVE PERRY SINGALONG SERIES

You’ll be hearing a lot of Steve Perry at this World Series. Every game at AT&T Park, fans join together to belt out the song “Lights,” Perry’s ode to San Francisco. Every game at Comerica Park, fans sing along to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” emphasizing the lyric “Born and raised in South Detroit.” It’s a nice bit of civic pride, although, as Perry has acknowledged, there really is no such place. “I tried North Detroit, I tried East and West and it didn’t sing, but South Detroit sounded so beautiful,” he told CBC News in 2009. “I loved the way it sounded, only to find out later it’s actually Canada.”
