STEVIE KEYS PRESENTS - STEVE PERRY LEADS CROWD AT YOUR SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS NLDS GAME FOUR 10/7/14!

Your San Francisco Giants welcomed Steve Perry to AT&T Park in San Francisco California tonight! Steve led a crowd of 43,000 plus to kick off game four of the NLDS against the Washington Nationals. First time he actually came down to the field and dazzled the crowd with his cheerleading, a sight to behold!

It must have been a good luck charm because when it was over our Giants were victorious sending the Nats back home to Washington DC.

Thanks for all the great coverage, Tater. You are so on it! I am so burnt out today I can barely function at work. Two games in a row and last night's game was nuts all the way to the end. They don't call the Giants the Cardiac Kids for nothing. It was so much fun and such an honor to be able to attend both games, but, whew.....glad there isn't a game tonight.

This would have been a whole lot of fun to see happen live!

Steve Perry is a rabid San Francisco Giants fan, so when Don't Stop Believin' came on at their game yesterday, it was no surprise that he joined in and sang along.

As Journey's ex-lead vocalist and a resident of SF for almost two decades, it wasn't long until other fans at the game noticed who Steve was and that he was crooning along to his own hit!

While the clip is closer to a lip sync than a solo, the 65-year-old sure is giving his all to pump up his home team and the crowd.

And it worked!

The Giants walked away with a 3-2 win against the Washington Nationals, all thanks to their keen choice of music.

Ch-ch-check out the video of Steve singing along to his 1981 hit (below)!!!

The good news for baseball fans is that none of the Giants-Cardinals National League Championship Series games will be carried on pay-extra-to-watch MLB Network.

Two of the potential seven games — Game1 on Saturday and a possible Game6 on Oct.18 — will air on Fox (Channels2 and 40).

But Fox, not wanting to compete against NFL coverage on Sundays or preempt its prime-time schedule during the week, has opted to put Games2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 on Fox Sports1 — a station unknown to thousands of baseball fans until last week.

NLCS on TV

GAME 1

Saturday: at St. Louis, 5p.m. Channel: 2Channel: 40

GAME 2

Sunday: at St. Louis, 5p.m. FS1

GAME 3

Tuesday: at Giants, 1p.m. FS1

GAME 4

Wednesday: at Giants, 5p.m. FS1

GAME 5*

Oct. 16: at Giants, 5p.m. FS1

GAME 6*

Oct. 18: at St. Louis, 1 or 5p.m. Channel: 2Channel: 40

GAME 7*

Oct. 19: at St. Louis, 4:30p.m. FS1

* - if necessary

Finding Fox Sports 1: Here is where you can find FS1, which is airing the Giants game:

AT&T Uverse: 652/1652 (HD)

Comcast: 408/731 (HD)

DirecTV: 219/219 (HD)

Dish: 150/150 (HD)

Steve Perry Makes Surprise Appearance To Sing ‘Don’t Stop Believin” At San Francisco Giants Game [Video]

October 9, 2014

http://www.inquisitr.com/1527591/steve- ... ame-video/

When your team is down 3-0 in the 7th inning of a playoff game, the Journey hit “Don’t Stop Believin'” seems an appropriate song to sing. When your team just happens to be the favorite team of Steve Perry, you just might get treated to the man himself leading the song. That is what happened Monday night as Steve Perry pumped up the crowd with a rousing sing-along rendition of the 80’s classic at the San Francisco Giants game.

It is no secret to Giants fans that the former lead singer of Journey is a huge fan of the baseball franchise. The reclusive star has been spotted at several games over the years. But he hasn’t stepped onto a stage for almost two decades, as The Inquisitr has reported. In May, Steve Perry surprised everyone as he joined his friends, the Eels, in playing one of their hits and some Journey songs on stage in Minnesota, then in Washington, D.C. later the same week.

A few years ago, the Giants unofficially adopted one of Perry’s most beloved hits of all time, “Don’t Stop Believin'”, according to ABC News Radio. On this occasion, Steve delighted fans with an impromptu performance from the stands near the end of the third game in the playoffs against the Washington Nationals.

Some fans posted videos of Perry and his air guitar at the playoffs on YouTube. A writer for Q105 made an observation about the lyrics scrolling by on the Jumbotron screen.

“Steve probably didn’t need the lyrics on the screen to sing along.”

It would probably be a safe assumption that a huge proportion of the audience didn’t need the lyrics, either! Steve Perry is one of those rare artists that appeal across generations.

The San Francisco Giants have given a gift to Steve that he is forever grateful for, according to his words in a 2010 interview.

“I can’t put into words what the Giants have done for me emotionally. It’s beyond words. In a lot of ways, they’ve saved me and they’ve gotten me back into music, to be perfectly honest with you. They touched me in a way that made me excited about music again.”

Steve Perry’s message to the fans and the team clearly applies to the San Francisco Giants in the playoffs. Though they didn’t pull out that game, losing 4-1 to the Nationals, the Giants didn’t stop believing, and went on to defeat their opponent in Tuesday’s game, securing their spot for a bit longer.

The soulful voice of Steve Perry has left an indelible mark on the world and defined an era of music. That definitive sound has been sorely missed by many adoring fans who would love nothing more than to see the performer on stage again. What an incredible treat for the baseball fans at AT&T stadium to see Perry on the Jumbotron and to hear that incredible voice live once again.

What is your favorite Steve Perry song, and why? Let us know in the comments below. Mine is “Separate Ways.” Perry’s voice through that song touches something very deep inside and is one of my top favorite songs of all time.

I love the fact that he could well afford a private box, but he hangs out with the regulars.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
