Royals Force Winner-Take-All World Series Game 7

In a series of streaks, it is the Giants who have had theirs snapped. The momentum of two straight wins at AT&T Park in San Francisco melted in the blue cauldron that is Kauffman Stadium, as Kansas City combined a second inning seven-run salvo with seven shutout innings from Yordano Ventura to crush the unwelcome visitors.

Now KC have snapped themselves back into form and into a Game 7 of the World Series.

That means there is one more day to the baseball season. Making it one of the most exciting moments North American sports can provide - a Game 7 of the World Series.

Garth Brooks bigger than Journey ?? Really ??

The Garth Brooks sign was a douchebag, classless move. We used to have Brooks "Friends in low places" play after the 6th inning (which I freaking hated. Sorry KC is not a cow town anymore). This season the fans actually chose Don't Stop Believin' and I believe they haven't played that during the series since the Giants uses it and of course they're most famous fan is in attendance.

On behalf of KC Royals fans, my apologies. I hope I can bump into Steve somewhere here in town.

I think everyone is taking it too serious. It's baseballl! I thought it was funny, and I'd bet Steve got a chuckle out of it too. And I STILL miss Tater's posts. After tonight's game, Perry will probably go back into hiding.

Thanks for the post, MotherCitay.

Chris Roberts wrote in his article regarding the signs mentioned above:
“Jake Peavy couldn't get anyone out, and Steve Perry got trolled. Truly nothing went right for San Francisco.”

Guess we know “Who’s Crying Now”, don’t we, Chris Roberts? And we know who got it all right after all with a World Series win, don’t we, Chris Roberts?

S/P... you live in KC? Did you go to the games?
That's Sports for ya .... each town is gonna root for its own... it's kind of funny, actually. They're just signs ...nobody takes these things seriously... Steve didn't seemed mad ... just grudging stare... haha.

From everything I've read and heard on BA sports shows, afterwards ... the KC people were rabid and loyal for the home team (as they should) ... but also nice and polite toward out-of-town Giant fans. No yelling at, picking a fight, or throwing beer ... generally, classy people. Kind of to be expected of Midwesterners.

I know of a family by marriage -- clan lives nearby K Stadium -- everyone rooting for Royals to win it all. Kind of a families rivalry going on this year with this side rooting for Giants. Condolences to them but happy for us ...
