Oh Sherrie royalties

Having a bit of a discussion with someone on FB, they want " proof" that SP gives his share of "Oh Sherrie" royalties to Sherrie Swafford.
I can't remember where I heard about it, anyone here have any ideas?

It was in some interview with him. Can't remember which. Thought it was print.

And why does someone need proof? And what kind of proof would exist that you could get your hands on other than him saying it? I think it is a half interesting subject, but it turns a little odd when someone needs proof.

She's quite sure that, because she's never heard about this, I must be making it up. Wants "proof" of my statement, getting a bit hostile I was hoping to point her towards some interview with Steve.

I thought maybe I read it here somewhere, but can't find it. Oh well, guess I will just keep looking.....or maybe not.

Radio interview quite a few years ago. I remember the interviewer pretty much asking about relationships and how Mr P is pretty much paying “palimony” with those royalties. 1990s. I believe it was an interview with Mr P phoning in.
