I bet he looks at it differently than others but he was such an integral part of the band and sooo identifiable that it just wouldn’t have been right for him not to be on stage with the other members.

And nothing about the guy that forced his shot into the band. 0 condolences on Herbie's passing, I have no time for that.

I hope he will forever be thankful he made that trip to the HOF, stood on stage with the members of the band and was able to share his thoughts on his relationship with the man. I suppose it’s better to look someone in their face and recall the life you shared during that time in your life then have personal recollections when he’s no longer there to witness your heartfelt emotions. I do believe most would have wanted him to sing with the band but that’s his decision. Guess I wouldn’t wanted to see everyone in that place blubbering over the reunion….

Wow dude...seriously? Where's Gregg? Where's Ross...who was reportedly VERY close to HH? So Steve's VERY PUBLIC address at a very public and WORLD-WIDE event wasn't good enough for you? Ouch!

He didn't say squat about Herbie's passing from what I've viewed, If you have some data that don't have please let me know. Without Herbie, Perry wouldn't have ever gotten the Journey gig.

It's too late to speak to a person about how they played a part in shaping their lives when he's no longer here with us. HH heard him loud and clear on stage in front of all those people about how he felt about what he'd done to bring out the best in him. if that wasnt a tribute i dont Know what else you'd call it. After all those years of estrangement and rumors i think Mr Perry tried to lay it all to rest in "thanking" HH for all he did do in helping make him the celebrity he became and making the band successful.

Lol...i wasn't talking about anything recent like this year. I was referring to the RRHOF address to HH. You heard it and saw it. But MOST importantly...HH saw and felt the HEARTFELT appreciation from Steve...as Marabelle so aptly put it...while HH was ALIVE. THAT'S when it counts! NOT when the man is dead. You can give all of the tribute when a person is dead but it doesn't matter AT ALL...the person doesn't know it.

Precisely Marabelle. Steve told HH how he felt TO HIS FACE. HH appreciated it then...when it was most appropriate. Maybe any of them will do something later.
But Steve said his thanks at the RRHOF...a very famous and world-wide event.
