Steve Takes a Seat in Civic Park

Steve's home town of Hanford honors him with a permanent seat in Civic Park.

As I understand it, it was donated by some Perry fan group. They have their name and the administrators' name on that plaque, too.
I've always felt Mr. Perry may have asked Hanford not go give him any special recognition. His hometown seems like his safe haven to me.

This is what Steve had to say regarding the plaque:
"I did a road trip to my home town of Hanford, California and as I was staring at the auditorium where I remember seeing my father sing - look what I found!
