Thank you for the compliment! But seriously, I was a "hot mess"! Could you imagine me slurring my way backstage, dragging Perry's little body our from behind the curtain or whatever it was and forcing him to acknowledge some of his fans? If that ever happens I hope someone has a camera!

I will enjoy the time, although, I am very sad almost daily now. It gets harder and harder when the realization of her impending passing looms. At any rate, thank you very much for the offer.

PS - Steve Lukather (of Toto fame) said his mother died on Father's Day and his dad had died I think months before. I adore that man, the nicest "noted" person I have ever met. Unassuming, personable, GREAT sense of humor and WONDERFUL to his fans. And I actually make HIM laugh! Well, his mentioning of his mom's passing hit a nerve, which is why I added my AV pix from this Dad's Day past. Thanks again ladies!

Well, I keep smiling every time I see it - some smiles are infectious!

Seriously though, I understand totally about the waiting, and the grief starting now, even though you want to treasure every moment and not let your sadness tint what you have now. But you also get a blessing - you have time to make sure your regrets are few. The most special thing I had with both my parents was having the chance to say 'I love you, goodbye.' So many people don't get that.
