If Perry were to record a duet CD?

Postby Journey/Survivor » Tue Nov 08, 2011 1:57 pm

Jimi Jamison and Bobby Kimball just released an album made up of 12 duets between them.

If Steve Perry was going to do a duet album with another lead vocalist, who would you want it to be with?

Keep in mind that the other singer would be singing lead on 50% of each song.

Seal. They would be the greatest soul duo since Sam and Dave.

Check out Seal doing Sam Cooke. Unbelievable.

My lost duet would be Ann Wilson and Steve Perry -- my two favorite rock vocalists, and arguably the two finest the genre has ever seen or heard.

I know Ann joined Journey with Arnel to sing "Open Arms" a few years back. But I've always imagined Ann singing it with Steve and how amazing it would be.

what is sad is Reba asked him a few years ago on her duet CD and was turned down.
would have been a great blend.
Would love to see one with Martina Mcbride.

I go with Ann Wilson & Gladys Knight also. I was also thinking of Arethea Franklin (sorry if I misspelled her name).
