Why is it that there isnt one piece of this groups audio ANYWHERE. Didnt they record a few things ? I would love to hear Steve at this age or hear his drumming.

Well Liquid, I heard from Bill Bilhou and this is what he messaged to me. if you can figure a way to have these done so we can hear them, let me know. I am messaging him back and asking him if it is possible that they can be fixed, I will let you know what else he says, thanks:
From Bill:
"I have some lathe cut demo discs from the '60s but they're pretty scratched. It wasn't easy to record back in those days. Almost had to be a studio recording. Nothing but poor quality reel to reel tape machines, for the most part. There wasn't even stereo for awhile, back then."
That is his good friend Dan. The boys you see in the pics of him with Manny Rodriquez are Dan's kids. They have been friends for years....obviously.annie89509 wrote:barnsley4 wrote:Ftloperry wrote:*Laura wrote:
I'm guessing this one's from the FTLOSM time. If my memory serves me, it was taken at Disneyland. But maybe I'm wrong.
Laura here is a larger version of that pic. I've had this one for years.
it looks like the guy behind thinking mmm..is that Steve Perry ????
Funny, that guy looks like the one Steve sits next to in those baseball game pics of 2007-08.

Demo discs of SP from the 60s would be so very interesting to listen to. Even a reel to reel tape would provide something new and different.
When my dad was in Korea, he sent us reel to reel tapes to listen to and that is how we kept in touch. You can hear pretty well even though the quality isn't like we have today.
I wonder what it would take to transfer what he has to digital?

Waiting to see if Bill wants to do this, he might not have time, he works and he has 3 bands going. I am going up north soon, so when I get a response back from him maybe I can get up there and see what can be done, until then I just can't do it right now. I was going to ask him if he knew anyone in particular that could remaster those reels. Hmmmm!!!!

Mmmmm i guess that person is "hopefully" mixing more newer stuff still it would be cool to hear what SP sounded like in the 60's...
tammy wrote:Love seein' these pics - some I haven't seen before. About Steve's eyes...I was really surprised when I saw that they were very light greenish-blue at the WOF- I had thought they were brown from pics on the net. My sister even asked me when she saw his eyes, "are his eyes blue?"
I have my own pics from the WOF but not sure how to get them here...gotta check.
