I view the fact that I kissed my $40.00 goodbye as a life lesson I needed to learn. I'm not sad about it closing down. I just wondered
what took it so long. I've been putting some distance between me and Steve for well over a year now
and didn't really post that much over there anymore. So it's not that sad for me. So, while at one time I was a big loon, I'm not anymore. I wish him well and that's about it.

PV seems to always close this time of the year. I think this has to be the 3rd or 4th time and the same old bunch comes back together with a boatload of new recruits. The fact is Kathy knows how to run a site very well; she should have been a used car sales person cause she gets all those folks invested in the site; takes them on PV trips, promises them Perry visits, inside scoops and the prize in the Cracker Jack box...and they believe her and she has a faithful bunch until it comes to money. Most times when money is involved something comes up missing. Then like rats fleeing like it's a sinking ship, the PV girls run but usually return after some story is told which seems believable about how things just fell apart. So, if it is closed for good I doubt it and if not; so what?

I thought that site shut down a couple of years ago...I liked it once - at least, that was before I heard about what happened with Lora...a shame that that had happened. But like a lot of things there was some good in it such as when SP came down to Hollywood to meet some of the PV fans...which still makes me sad that I could've been there...argh! Also, there are some very nice normal fans that were part of that forum.

Didn't she need to get Steve's permission to sell t-shirts with his face on them? Isn't there copyright for stuff like this? Anyone Buller....Buller....Buller.....

Hold the phone...I have no idea what the shirts had on them. I was guessing they had Nostrildamus on them. I mean, why else would you pay $40 for a shirt? Then again, why would you pay $40 for one with him on it?!?!

The tee shirt did not have a picture of Steve on it. Plus the extra money was suppose to got to the Make a Wish Foundation. From what I understand the person in charge of that had not been sending in the money to the MaWF. That was another problem that was discovered when the person doing the research called the foundation and asked them to search their records to see if the donation had happen at all. For the last couple of years it had not happened. No donation. The donation had been done in Steve's name. The person doing the research isn't going to let this one alone.

I hope that is not true 'cuz that is just too slimey! :(

Well, I don't know what happened, but I assume that Lora was instrumental in getting Steve to "come down to Hollywood to meet some of the fans"
Makes me wonder how the PV owner(s) could treat Lora poorly after such a wonderful thing she did for them. WTF?

So, since we at MR treat Lora with the respect she deserves, maybe someday there can be an MR Hollywood, meet and greet with Perry. 8)

It's not just the forum that is shut down. The website is also deleted. She deleted the whole thing. It's just a matter of time when the forum is deleted too. The last time she just shut down the forum. This time she deleted Perryville the website.

Somebody is in BIG trouble. This is Racketeering at its finest. Many many years in prison. Your friend who is looking into it only needs to call the local U.S. Attorney's office and tell her story and they will direct her to the appropriate department. This case rises to the Federal level, and believe me the Feds take this kind of thing VERY seriously. They will put a U.S Marshall on the case and gather all the facts without your friend having to do another thing except to report it. THe Feds prison sentences are MUCH longer than in State Court. Racketeering was my specialty when I was prosecuting so I'm speaking the truth here from experience. Very sad that people get involved in these scams. I prosecuted a guy once that was selling non-existent coffee stands to investors. Investors gave him millions to invest with him and he would show them pictures of the coffee stands and all. He would use new money to pay old investors a return and then one day, one of the investors took a trip to the state where his coffee stand was suppose to be and it was a dirt field, no coffee stand. That caused the whole house of cards to come down. Deleting the website won't cure Perryville's problem if they have been doing what is alleged. :(

I would not join because she advertised the site as free and e-mailed me and told me that there was a "small fee". Hidden fee.

I thought it smacked too much of a girl who used Steve's name for a scam in the 80's. She was told to stop by Steve's lawyers it got so bad. Charging money and not producing anything. This girls first name was Kathy.

So when I found out the Perryville owners name I became uncomfortable. Not that they are the same people, nor do I know of any real problems there, since I never became a member, but beware folks collecting money for this or that. I am sure it is not authorized by Steve, good chance it is a scam.

I again am not trying to say the Perryville site is guilty of anything at all. Just saying be careful what you sign up for. :D

I trust Lora over any fly by night Wanna be Site Moderator anyday......... Not you Andrew..........the Fan club type.........not you though.................  you know the ones where people gush over Perry...........not this one though   .............ones where they make strange predictions on when his album will be released..........but not MR...........Did I tell you I have great respect for marsupials? :D :D    :P :P

Seriously, Lora is true blue, anyone saying something mean about her, I don't and won't trust.

Just be sure she is calling the U.S. Attorney's Office (Federal), not the Attorney General (that' the State's prosecutor). If the donations were made across state lines, it becomes Federal and the fact that it is internet fraud, also makes it Federal. The U.S. Marshall's office are like the cops for the Feds. She can call that office if she can't find the U.S. Attorney's Office first. She can also call the FBI and they can direct her to the right department within the agency. There are usually FBI local offices, or at least a regional office. Good luck.
