During the FTLOSM tour did you feel like part of the band?

Just because you're LEADING a group and calling all of the shots, doesn't mean that any of the others ever made you actually FEEL like you were part of the group. Hand picked by the manger and PUT into the band, could make things feel differently.

All great leaders are respected for their talent, but maybe don't feel like the ones who are depending on them(and god knows they did), ever made them feel like part of the team.

That's part of being a leader and comes with the territory, but that doesn't mean that it couldn't make you feel that way.

Here's a couple of questions that no one ever seems to have the balls to ask (probably Steve has a prerequisite);

1. If you were allowed the time to return to Journey post Trial By Fire, would you have returned? I realize we all have to do what we have to do in our personal lives and I respect that, but do you think it was fair to the other guys.... holding this band in gridlock?

2. Can you give us your opinion on Arnel and how you think the band is doing now? Have you listened to Revelation? I figured you must at least be curious.

3. IF Journey were ever inducted into the hall, would you perform with them for one last concert?

BUT. This whole who's-gonna-interview-SP thing reminded me of a mini-script that I wrote a couple years ago and posted on here. I guess at least half of you weren't around then.

SP is in a restaurant, enjoying his privacy.
Suddenly, an agitated guy walks up to him and interrupts his quiet lunch.

Deano: Hey Perry, what's up?
SP ( a bit surprised): Excuse me…but who are you?
Deano: I am Rockindeano.You know (winks)…that Rockindeano.
SP (looking very confused) : Sorry, never heard of you.
Deano(angry): What the fuck, man? Everyone knows me!
SP (looking around a bit worried):Well, sorry to disappoint you…
Deano: That's right! You disappoint me, dude! You need to answer some goddamned questions!
SP: Listen…
Deano (yells): No, you listen to me!! (pauses, trying to calm down) I'll make you a deal. We need to talk.
SP (beginning to understand): Talk…About what?
Deano: We can't talk about it here.
SP: Why not?
Deano: Cause we just can't.
SP (starting loosing patience): What do you want?
Deano:Here’s the deal: I want you to come to my house.Then we'll talk.
SP (amused): Umm...I think you got the wrong gal, fella.
Deano (getting antsy): I'll give you a thousand dollars cash just to come to my house and have a Q&A session. Just you and me.
SP (more amused): Will this proposition entail my dressing up as Tina Turner?
Deano (with an all business attitude): It is nothing of a sexual nature,believe me.
(Takes a thousand in cash from his pocket) Here. One thousand, just to answer some questions. I don't see how you could turn that down, Mr.Perry.
SP (making efforts not to laugh): That's nice. (pauses, then lets out a heavy sigh) But, you see, I am not Steve Perry.
Deano (in shock): Holy shit! What the hell are you saying, dude?? Whatta ya mean you're not Steve Perry?
SP: Am not.
Deano (getting nervous): Then who are you?
SP: Geddy Lee.
Deano(staring at SP’s face in awe): Well I'll be damned…Geddy.(puts on a Colgate smile and extends hand) It's good to meet you man! I hate Rush,but you,dude,are something else.
SP (shaking Deano’s hand): Charmed.
Deano: Hey, Geddy, you happen to know Perry?
SP: Sure.
Deano(all jazzed up): Cool! Need you to do me a favor.
SP (stops smiling,looks all business): That'll cost you another thousand.
Deano (stunned):Errr…ok. Deal. (grins,thinking "I'll give him 1000 Linden Dollars. It's still Dollars, wtf?")
SP (smiling again):So...Same place, same time tomorrow?
