Good luck Ginger on your first day. I'm sure you will do great. I would post some pix, but it seems like my favorite ones are already on here. Especially the ones from FTLOSM era. Yummy!

Hugs back! Thanks to all. I'm thinking of doing a collage drawing of Perry in the future. I have so much on my plate right now. The first day was exhausting. Long boring meetings and more paper work than I ever care to see for a lifetime!LOL! No biggie though, it is part of the job. Then I drove for an hour home in torrential rain.  I was so exhausted and I didn't even get the key to my room yet!

Well maybe tomorrow. I want to decorate! LOL!

More meetings tomorrow, then I have to drive to the college I am attending for the music class and register. This is a small college so I have to stand in long lines like we did in the old days. I loved my college I graduated from. No long lines and registration was done online! Not to shabby!

Please keep the pics coming, I knew you guys would love a thread where you can post them........and I would like to see what pics I don't have in order to get references for a possible drawing in the future. Of course I will show it to you guys. :D The next drawing of him will have to be more serious and not so sureal. I want to think it out well. I am sure you will hate posting your favorite pics meanwhile....... :P :P

I have that one of Steve in the tan shirt from his greatest hits stuff. Very nice! :D

Well, looks like it is Art and Survey of Fine arts that I will be teaching. The Survey of Fine Arts will have a combined art and music history. They do go together so well! :D The hard part is trying to get a 3 hour music class after school hours! One professer at the college near the school is trying to help me. Even offered a one on one class. But it depends on if he gets enough students enrolled for the class to be able to keep it. He has to have 6 students and including me he has 4. He has till Friday to add two more! I hope he does. If he doesn't I might have to go to the college in Jonesboro and take a class there. I would have to pay full price there. :( If I go to the one near my school, the school district pays for it. Since they want me to have the class that would be better for me.

Thanks for all the great pics. I will keep these in mind! :D

Thank you, today we learned how to do this cool interactive lesson online that we can bring up on a Smartboard. For those who don't know what a smartboard is, the smartboard is a like a large computer screen like a white board. Anything I put on a computer can be show large on a smartboard. So large pictures of artwork can be transfered via the internet to my smartboard, and all the students can see it! I played with it for 2 hours during inservice today! What a cool tool! The program we were working on was geered to art and music. :D

I have got to share this with you guys. I about died! I was recomended for the job by their previous teacher who was a friend of mine in college. She felt I would be her best replacement. The teacher before my friend was fired because she was a meth head and because she let a student make a huge............................male organ, in great detail they said. She even glazed and fired it and thought it was great art.  Maybe for college age but not for Jr High! LOL! I assured them no "creative anatomy" would be allowed in my classes. LOL!

ah yes ... another beautiful anecdote for my School Law class, employment law section. If you want to keep your job, never never ever ...
~ go to Hooters for a meal while out of town and park the school district car prominently at the front door
~ strip search a student for ANY reason
~ use the school credit card to buy an air freshener cam and put it in the adult women's restroom
~ accuse the school custodian (who also happens to be mayor pro tem for the town council) of stealing money from the bandhall with zero justification
~ allow fire glazed phalluses as art projects

Well the Buddy Hacket pic comes from the fact that, at times, Perry has looked suprisingly like Buddy Hacket. Although I tend to liken him more toward Kevin Pollack.
