You think I am joking? I made a Journey quilt in 1986, which had all the albums on it and artwork embroidered on it. I made a MLB quilt too, using cake pans as outlines for baseballs, and embroidered the logos onto them, one side AL and the other side NL.

One quilt I was in the process of making, was destroyed in front of my very own eyes. I was stitching on the names of the women I have conquered. Well, the current woman at that time saw it and was not happy. She proceeded to go OJ on it, slicing and dicing that work of art until it was a fancy pile of cloth napkins. I was never so pissed.

Ginger, I have some talent, not much but some hidden talents to be sure. Like this one. I can add extra protein to a plate of scrambled eggs for my female guests 100% naturally. Do I need to elaborate on this or....?

I remember when it was Perry, Perry, Perry! It was never Journey Journey Journey. That's why I can't understand why Steve would say he never felt like he was part of the band. He was the fucking band. Fortunately, Neal can overlook such things when the bux are rolling in.

Hell, I am not into judging dudes at all, but I can tell you most girls I talk to for instance think Bruce is a lot better looking than Perry. Some think BJ is a pretty girl and prefer Sambora. One thing that is consistent is they all think Tom Petty looks like a walking living breathing anorexic scarecrow with aids.

I agree Deano....sometimes it is to much but hey when your hot your hot and Perry is hot! Serious though I understand what your saying there is more to Steve than his looks. He is tremendously talented and his career with Journey is amazing. Deano your the life of the party around here...a cool person. :D

Rockindeano wrote:This needs to be said. You are all out of your collective fucking minds. You have any idea how retarded you all look being down here in a snake pit worshiping Steve Perry as a god? Talking in excess about what shirt he wears? How his hair is so full of body and how much you would love to run your meaty digits through it while laying in the sun out on Del mar way?

Seriously, this is one of the hardest posts to type, because I don't want one of you whacked out bitches to go run into a knife after reading this, but look at this way;

This is the only forum on MR that is not taken seriously. There is no conversation about real music; no talking about his past or his contributions to music. It's all goddamned retardation in type, in visible print, and everyone reading it must be thinking to themselves, what in the fuck is up with this place? Did Jerry dump all his kids in here and split? No wonder Andrew segregated the population of the albeit fractured and dysfunctional Journey family.

Sorry to have to drop this bomb, but fuck all to holy hell, you lot are taking this to ridiculous limits. No wonder that poor fucker (Perry), hides out. Can you blame him?

As much as it pains me to say it, I have to agree with most of Deano's post. ...(now, if you'll excuse me I think I'm gonna need a shower)

I actually knit. I love to sew too. Made some killer quilts.

You talented vixen you!   But as I said................I agree too much of the look at the cute nose hair comments for one to stomach at times.............

I would love to see them...................never knew you had that talent! :D

Ginger, I have some talent, not much but some hidden talents to be sure. Like this one. I can add extra protein to a plate of scrambled eggs for my female guests 100% naturally. Do I need to elaborate on this or....?

For a minute I was worried....the quilting and sewing talk had me wondering if Deano has finally lost it...but the the protein in the egg thing came along alas Deano is fine

And yes this place gets is over the top with the fawning....but upstairs sucks as it's a OT Forum when it's not the latest review of the same fucking set list played over and over again...or wait that Journey is now good people and who to fuck cares who they rolled over with the bus to get there.

So what exacty is a fan of the music??? You know when they were the best and had huge crowds that waited in lines to get tickets to the shows?? Where are we to post? What is there really to talk about?

Upstairs it's a constant who is better.....most know it...some don't and never will because they don't think there was a Journey before AP.

Anything else that is actually about the music I believe has been discussed and argued many times and many ways.....I think until there is new music in both camps these two Forums are boring at best and sometimes for me just sad....it makes me realize that the Journey of greatness is long gone!!! and all I have to do is put in a DVD and I can see that (you actually can't go back in time)

So yes Deano we have all lost it in one way or another......I for one have lost the band that I love to listen to and enjoy and I guess there is not much to talk about anyomore as that band has not played together for what 20 some years...for me I will wait to see what Perry puts out...I am sure I will at least like it as I am a fan of all the solo stuff...Journey was my fave but I do like the solo stuff...so I will be happy to have something new to listen to.

Yesterday I listened to Revelation again as I had a long car trip to make and thought why not?? I my honest opinion it's okay and if it was any other band I would say well I would give it a listen now and then but it would not be on my rotation in my CD player. The problem was that after I listened to Revelation I put in Frontiers this is the problem that they have to deal with IMO they are not as good as they were.....then I put in TBF they were better still then they are now.

So here I am one MF frustrated FAN with nothing to talk about!!!

Sadly, I have to agree with most of what Deano said too. I've commented here and there about things but I have to say that when this new forum opened I thought, "Great!" but then started getting very frightened when I started reading some of the stuff that was posted. I stop in from time to time to scan the thread titles but honestly, I still frequent the Journey forum more. It's just too psycho in here at times.

Flog away at me now for saying that, I don't mind. I think it is hilarious when you all attack someone.

Deano's telling the truth( however, harsh it maybe) but it's still the truth. The man is more than hair, eyes, lips and hips. To treat him as just an object to fawn constantly over is insulting. The man has a true God given talent, Musically there's very few that can touch him. Oh! alright a little fawning shouldn't hurt; however, some do go completely overboard and that can be unsettling and kind of weird. Some of the members here hold key positions in life and should know better than others the dangers of obessions and the damage obessions can cause. JMHO.

I'm going to have to agree with you...granted I have not been here long, but I have spent several hours reading both forums. The Journey forum is every bit as bad with the fawning posts. Infact.. if fans don't post how great Journey is now, the folks upstairs have a "your not a true fan" tantrum. Frankly, I don't see the difference in supposed "fawning" over Journey vs Arnel vs Perry.

As for me..I'm just not interested in the "new" version of Journey. I have other musical interests to keep me entertained and Journey without Steve is not one of them. I will either wait until Steve has a new project out,or just remember him fondly by..listening to the old Journey stuff, watch my two DVD's or listen to his solo CD's (just like I have already been doing for years). Not a big deal to me.
