Sorry dude, I don't see it as the conspiracy theory you do, him sharing a couple tracks with friends and them sharing their opinions of it, is more how I see it.

It was like this. Steve said, "Why don't you guys fly down here? I've got some demos of songs I've been working on and I will play them for you." So we did. And he did.

After we listened to the demos he said, "Go forth and spread the word, my Secret Society. Make sure you say I sound as fabulous as I did back in the 80s and I will bestow ten bucks upon each of you." So we did. And he did.

I bought a shinny new bullhorn with my ten bucks. I'm not sure what Cyndy did with hers but cupcakes were probably involved.
LOL.

Me too!! Appreciate Lora being on Crap control

Oh man....look at Lora getting loose and waving her orange flag smack. Lobbed a wild pitch? That's not bad stuff right there, LB.

You're next Daniel Son. This time don't float a hanging curveball down the middle of the dish so Lora can take you over the boards in left field.

Sure I did, but you conveniently went the way of sarcasm. Great move, too. Assuming the role of Lora Pavlov over the bullhorn and taking the comedic route ensured that all of the Loons would come a barking. And they did.

Baseball terminology being used by a woman, even when somewhat erroneous, is pretty cool. You're kinda like Perry. You think you're a fan!

Great pitching almost always wins, and the Giants' pitching is as good as anyone's. But they missed a chance to clinch at home and their youth and inexperience might show on the road. Gonna be tough to win in Philly.

It's over. They had a chance to put the defending champs down and blew it.
They will get smoked in Philly and Pat Girly Man Burrell brought down a world of verbal abuse on his head that he won't believe.

... but the Giants have the world's oldest rally monkey rooting for them. No worries, though. He can just adopt a new favorite team if they lose. He hitched his wagon to the White Sox in 2005and even donned a Dodgers cap not too long ago. Surely he has a Phillies hat on deck. And I bet he misses screaming PHIL-A-DEL-PHIA!!!!

You know nothing of my knowledge of baseball or my history as a Giant's fan.

Yep, the Giants will probably have a hard time in Philly. But guess what? If they don't go to the world series, I'll still be a fan and I'll still be at Pac Bell Park (I will never call it AT&T Park) next season having a blast and enjoying the game.

I didn't say I did. I said that your "baseball terminology" was "somewhat erroneous." And it was. Pitchers don't "lob" pitches. The part about you "thinking you're a fan" was purely in jest.

Yep, we out here were all rooting for the Giants to take it in 5....with their ace on the mound and playing at home...liked their chances. Now...it sucks for them to go to Philly, in front of a hostile environment, having to win 1 of 2. They're huge underdogs...hope they scrape by.

I personally hate the Phillies with the intensity of a thousand suns.

Being a Mets fan, that is understandable. Last night's Yankees loss and ouster was nice to see as well!

Yes, I'm from Philadelphia.

Last year I flew from LA to Philadelphia to see Bruce close down the Spectrum, the last show. Anyway, while there, the Phillies were playing the Dodgers. Joe Torre came to the show, and Philly fans were all over him. I felt bad because dude just wanted to watch Bruce, but was heckled merciless for about 10 minutes before the show started. Anyway, there is nothing like a Philly fan. I have never met more passionate, caring, sport loving fans ever. Man they support their teams like I have never seen before. I saw Flyer jerseys, Phillies lids, everything. They talk about the Birds at every bar I stopped in at. The only team I didn't see represented was the 76ers, who have taking a liking to cock lately. I absolutely loved that town. If I had to move to the east coast, Philadelphia would be the city I went to.

In fact, it was in a Philadelphia bar, where an Eagles fan taught me how to do an "Upper Decker." For those of you who don't know what an Upper Decker is, it's when you go into a bathroom, remove the top lid from the tank, and take a dump in the tank, not the bowl. Hahaha, so the next poor bastard who uses the shitter, will flush it and the bowl will fill up with shit! I laughed so hard my sides ached. In fact I waited for for what seemed like hours, waiting for someone to go into the bathroom just to see their reaction when they flushed. I just hung around the door drinking beers and waited. Oh man, when it did happen, the guy didn't know what the Hell was happening. I couldn't stop laughing. I guess I am easily amused.

You have to be careful where you do this and to whom. It's best to do this to a person you despise, or at a party with a bad host, or a good friend. I almost did this to JSS while at one of Christmas parties. Lukather was there, Marco Mendoza and a lot of others. I was pretty hammered, and was going to leave a beefy sewer pickle in Soto's tank, but was too drunk to perch my ass up on it. I kept falling off. He would have known exactly who it was too, but I didn't pull it off. His wife at the time was so sweet, so I am glad I didn't leave muddy madness in there. I wanted to get Howie real bad, because we don't always get along. It takes a few flushes to completely rinse the crap out, unless you leave a soopy stool , that all rinses out immediately, and splashes the next customer in the ass when he flushes. Dude would probably have bits of corn stuck to his sack, along with a bunch of shit water on his cheeks. Hahahaha

I was wrong! The Giants outplayed (and outMANAGED) the Philles all 6 games. Phils haed better pitching in 2 but I expect a more competent series at the plate and in the field out of Texas.

Actually it was Pearl Jam who closed down the Spectrum with a few shows. But the FINAL act to play there was Earth, Wind and Fire at a private party hosted by Ed Snider. Whatever...glad you like our town, and that I wasn't in the bar the night you pulled your Upper Decker.

Deano is the only one who ever uses "espee". I think it's kinda cool.
Yep, we out here were all rooting for the Giants to take it in 5....with their ace on the mound and playing at home...liked their chances. Now...it sucks for them to go to Philly, in front of a hostile environment, having to win 1 of 2. They're huge underdogs...hope they scrape by.
JoePa...you rooting for the Phillies?

Yeah I know Art. I meant to say closed down from a Bruce POV. They played four nights there in October. The other acts that played there didn't sell it out or anything significant. Hell, they retired Springsteen's number in the rafters that night..#51. 51 for the number of sellouts there over his career.

He was always amazing in that building. Bruce, Billy Joel and Elton always brought the best of the best when they played the Spectrum, and the fans always let them know it too. I've seen all three of them there a number of times, and the noise from the crowd would rival the biggest sporting events ever played there. No doubt, Philly helped make all three of them who they are today.
