Journey has another 10 years in the tank with Pineda, if they so choose. That seems to be where Cain and Schon project in their interviews. But I'd settle for five years, a couple of new albums with the new guy, and then a final, two-dates-per-week tour to call it a career.

The journey is nice but the destination is what really matters.

I think I finally figured it out!

I ask Steve about his voice and how he feels singing now. Is it harder to please himself with what he hears on playback as no one has the same voice they did 30 years ago. I doubt he will answer it.

I've been thiinking about which questions I want to ask that will actually get a response, and to my surprise this morning, my daily horoscope that showed up in my inbox is going to help me frame those "probing" questions:

December 15, 2010
Curious, Probing Questions
Aquarius Daily Horoscope

Curiosity may lead you to ask probing questions of everyone you speak with today. You may feel like you are prying, but you know you won't get answers if you don't ask. Pry as gently as you can, and do your best to make the person feel comfortable so that they feel like responding. This inquisitiveness is the universe working through you. It may be for you to find answers for yourself or to help others find their own answers by telling you. Sometimes we need to hear ourselves speak the words before a situation becomes real to us. Sometimes we need to hear other people's stories to appreciate our own. Your curiosity has a purpose, so while following its lead be aware and observant of what it brings into your life today.

There may be times when people don't have anyone to talk to about their lives. They may be relieved that you asked and offered them that outlet. There are times when being polite actually keeps us from relating to others, because we fear being rude. But this is why we find children so surprising and refreshing. They have not yet built up their filters, so they ask what comes to their minds and feel free to share their opinions. If you are receiving guidance to go beyond the bounds of propriety today, give your curiosity full reign, trusting that the universe needs you to nudge something into existence by helping thoughts manifest in the material world.

Strange how the universe hands you what you need when you need it...

I just tried to send my questions in and I had trouble. I clicked the link at Fan Asylum and sent it that way. But every time I tried it, it kicked me off the internet. So I copied the link and just took it to hotmail. I sent it there but it didn't look like it went through that way either so I tried again. I told my husband about it and he looked in my email somewhere and said I sent it twice from hotmail. So I don't know if they will go through or not because I didn't send them in the link provided at Fan Asylum. I noticed nobody else said they had trouble so I guess it is just me. Anyway, I hope you get them Lora.

The direct-link to email questions on FA.com only works if you have Microsoft Outlook set up on your computer. If you don't have Outlook, just send email separately using the email address noted.

I sent him several questions in one.

Simply put... I asked him what are chances of concerts or previously unreleased music being released in the future.

So I have a questions for all here... Why does he even want to do a Q & A? Do we matter to him anymore as his fans? Not that the man owes his fans a darn thing. But I just don't get why he messes with us anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love his voice and would welcome new music. But I just don't get why, other than watch the fans go nuts over it. And yes I sent in 3 music questions. So why play the game he does with his fans?

I think he approaches the fans questions as coming from people who maintain a healthy respect and admiration of his work. He seems to appreciate the true state of the fan's faithful applaud as it relates to his voice, his music and the music of Journey. It's nice to have him slow down his living long enough to acknowledge what we are saying about the man. He has shown his appreciation of his fans before when he stepped into the lives of the Perryville women and was able to return some of their compassion intelligently, humorously and reflectively. I think he does these Q&A for the appreciation of the many, the happiness of the many and for the good of all of his fans.

Perhaps he is doing the Q & A because so many of us whined last year that he didn't do it as 'his birthday present' to us. I'm not questioning his motives--I think it's a decent thing for him do do and thank him for it.
