This dude is playing with us...

I never have seen such an inconsiderate artist towards their fans. He's been maintaining the expectations for years, though he never answered THE QUESTION clearly. I think we deserve a clear YES/NO answer once and for all.

I'm tired of the man. He's a total idiot and he doesn't deserve the following around him. Period.

I do not feel he is an idot at all.He is out dong what he wants with his life.We are the ones wanting new music from him.Look at it this way.I do not feel we will have new music or a tour or even a web site for him.So get over it now. I am a fan of his and that will never change for me.

I don't give a shit about him enjoying his life. It would be fair enough if he said something like: "Ok boys, I'm enjoying life and I'm NOT going to record any new album". That would be fine, but what pisses me off is the fact that he's NEVER clear regarding new music. Hence, I got the feeling that he's playing with us. That's why I think he's an idiot.

I used to feel the same frustration when I would hear/read his interviews. Now, I've accepted the idea that he won't be putting out any new music or touring. Since I've come that realization, I have a much easier time reading these types of interviews and Q&As. If he happens to prove me wrong and release some new music, all the better.

I'll give him credit for at least being clear that he wants no parts of Journey, a rare closed-ended, actual answer about his career/future plans.

Nothing really new, but a few more direct answers considering a reunion tour. Surprisingly, he answered 3 of my 6 questions (#1, #9, which was sent from my girlfriend's e-mail address & #24) and I'm thankful for that. Maybe I'll be a little less critical of him for a few months? Like Madsplash says, "we'll see." :)

Lora -

If you're lurking through this, I'm curious - does Steve do these via email or something these days? I want to say I remember you used to transcribe vocal interviews? I have to respect him for typing up that many answers to that many questions if he did it himself - seriously, that would have taken hours to do.

And yeah, I'm bummed that he still won't give a "yes or no" answer about new music. He certainly enjoys being wishy-washy, I've learned that much about him over the years.

Those were great questions, Dan. I wondered if it was you.

He answered one of mine. Maybe one of us will get picked for a personalized gift, :D

He didn't exactly say never for a Journey one-on. He wrote "not likely."

I was hoping for a guest appearance on Glee, that question unanswered
Even a non singing one, a brief walk on...

HEY, maybe that is why it was unanswered, needs to be a surprise!!

As for Randy Jackson asking him for AI, thinking one night there would have been a blast
HE could be toward the end of the season for one night, where you are not, sending anyone home, it is the audience decision
just be supportive to all, give them tips, pump them up!
A nice treat to the kids, the audience and for US FANS!!!

Love him to rethink that one......

I didn't know that about the Sullies winning and BG - that was interesting...and, I just realized something...wasn't Ross Valory in the Steve Miller Band? Was he in it at the same time? Another coincidence in the journey of Journey?

I love the legacy of Steve, but as far as I see....he's done.

Those pro-sessions and 2009/2010 rumors are all for naught and I'm done caring now. There will never be a new solo album ever.

I gave up when we lied about his hip to run away from Journey during TBF ,When his mom died he died also. He is now in AA everyday alone and a man without a vision. This board should be shut down Steve Perry does not deserve a board there is nothing left to say.

Sadly, I agree with you. I really think he just lost the ability or the desire to sing, maybe both.
