I think you're talking about Jill, his face expression is priceless........ http://tourbuslive.com/albums/Steve%20Perry/index.html
Hey thanks for the link, those are some great photos. Your right the look on Perry's face was priceless.

It is nice that some asked his permission first, but what is he supposed to say? "Um. No. I'd rather you didn't." It just puts the person in a very awkward position. I wouldn't even hug someone I don't know unless they made the gesture first (which he did). Jill is a very sweet lady and I know she meant no harm, but I remember being a bit shocked when it happened. I think Tree did it several times to make sure the moment was captured on film.
Anyway, it's really nice the way everyone is sharing memories of that day. I can't believe it's been 3 years already.
SPF in OR: The photos you probably saw of the meet & greet at the Hard Rock were from a travel package we hosted through Steve's fan club (S.P.I.N.) back in 1994/1995. Nothing to do with the WOF.

Omg, I know... I'd be to afraid of offending the person, or freaking them out, or something. A hug is a little different - less invasive, I think, so I don't mind people doing that to me, or if they seem like a hugger, or the situation is comfortable, I might do it too.
If we were talking about Steve... forget it. I'd be too nervous to even speak first. I'm like that with any celeb though.Took me 3 martinis to say hi to Steve A last year.

I love hugs............never get enough of them! But people let you know kind of if they want to hug you or not. Steve made the first gesture, so it was O.K. I am not sure I would kiss him.........Dan would not be too keen on that!![]()

You ladies are lucky, and it looks like you had fun. What I don't get is the posessiveness over photos and videos. Seems in the old days we all shared photos and stories. We all did not have the opportunities that others had and sharing photos was so nice~ I would share what photos I have, though few.![]()

I guess we all want to see how he is, and share in your joyful moment. The facts are you were there not us, and you exclusively had a moment we will never have. But when you share, and some of you so graciously have, we can share in the joy of the day. To those not too hung up to let us share your joy, thanks~

That was one of the best parts of the whole day...seeing a dozen people standing there stunned with complete shock and disbelief on their face.
After Steve started mingling and talking, almost everyone relaxed (okay, some cried a bit). Then after he left, we all went to lunch to decompress and discuss every little detail. The staff at Mel's probably thought we were nuts.
We met up and went for margaritas up in Burbank that night too and were still.....![]()

It's funny, cuz I think I was one of the first people that saw him. I remember we were all milling around talking about shopping, etc. with you and C, and I was babbling to a friend there about going across the street to get my daughter one of those WOF keychains with her name on it. When I saw someone who I thought must have been a celebrity because he had this secret service type looking guy with the shades, walking beside him. Couldn't see who it was until they were almost right there cause there was other tourists/people walking in front of them. When one of the people stepped out of the way, I saw the halo and knew it was Jesus.LOL I remember when he walked up all non-challant asking......if anybody knew where the Bethleham star was?
I was so stunned I started backing up, not one word coming out of my mouth, but my brain screaming.....Holy Mother Of God! Holy Mother Of God!

I remember talking to the sinner standing next to me after and she said she had the exact same first reaction, she started backing up and was so stunned she almost bolted away down the streets paved with gold.

True dat!I remember my friend from Burbank saying that on one of my visits, that there was no way we would set foot on Hollywood Blvd after dark.
It was my first time in LA - I had no idea... Didn't make that mistake again! The second time out, I went to the Blvd. during the day, and we parked the car on one of the side streets, a few blocks west of Vine St. (I think) and yeah, this wasn't the best idea either.... we were parked in front of a crack house. Might have been a whorehouse... not sure.Either way, it was gross. Condoms and beer bottles all over the place... welcome to glamorous Hollywood!

Sounds like my neighborhood...in the Valley! I hate taking walks (only take them during the day) and stepping over the used condoms and beer bottles. Once I watched a sting operation on the house next door...what a happy day that was for me as I hated those renter rats...a prostitute with a bunch of scurvy drug dealers lived there...their pit bull jumped over the cinderblock wall and attacked one of our big dogs so severely he almost died! Of course, they denied it!!!
We need to win the lottery to get out of here...love this little vintage house, but not where it sits. _

Scary how a beautiful place like California gets festered with the lowest of elements. If you could rid yourselves of those type of people it would be a cool place to live.
I hope to visit Dan's brother next year during the summer. But a visit is all I want. I am quite happy to live here. And I am not knocking California. I was born there, and if I was rich I would visit frequently, I love the ocean, the Sequoia National Park, and all the beautiful places there. My childhood memories are few. Sad how a few can spoil it for the rest.

Still the best state in the land. Every state has its' dumps and rotting Hoods. here are so many beautiful places here it isn't funny.
