RS is a damned fine music magazine. Just because Journey aren't in their pages does not make them shit.

Journey fucked themselves with Herbies in your face managing and their over the top poppy tunes. It's not just RS who turned on them..many critics did, and they were never taken serious after departure, because their lyrics were so fucking sappy.

I am amazed to hear that Gregg called Perry to suggest a sit-down!!! Given the way HH foisted Perry on Neal and Gregg it doesn't sound likely.

And as much as I like the first 3 albums, I like the perspective of this article describing the band as unable to find an identity.

I read that as different than the way HH described it in the BTM too. Glad I'm not the only one who found that odd.
