Well, it's not working.

Well, it's not working.
Wish we could do the same with Perry.

All along when the talk was about that there was a new SMFP cd coming, all the naysayers kept saying "When I hear it from the horses mouth, then I'll believe it". Well, it's been heard straight from the horses mouth, he didn't say, I'm "working" on a new cd, he said it is his plan to release a new CD.
And still they don't believe it. I don't get it, quite frankly.
I guess some people won't believe it even when they have it in their hot little hands.

Steve Perry is a genius.

Remember Against The Wall? This time definately looks promising, moreso than in the past. But so many Perry fans have been burned by the man so many times that it has become a self-defense mechanism to dismiss his words until they come to fruition. When the CD hits the shelves I am SO there to buy it. Until then, I don't hold my breath or concern myself with it. I don't anxiously await it. I think we all know it is easier to not believe in things we don't see....faith is a tough nut!
I agree with you, JM, on the premise that faith is a tough nut. Here is where I delve just a bit deeper. Against the Wall was not released because Sony had ulterior motives, I believe. Whether or not they just didn't believe it would sell, no one knows. However, Steve was contracted with Sony at that time. He is no longer under any obligation to any record company, nor is he dependent on someone to release it for him. He could do it all by his little lonesome if he wants. And most of us true fans know that when Perry gets something in his head that he wants to do, he doesn't stop until it's accomplished (ie: Whose Cryin Now outro, Smith and Valory dismissals). That's one reason I truly believe it this time.jrnyman28 wrote:journeyrock wrote:Here's the thing that gets my panties in a bunch....(pun intended).Babyblue wrote:JasonD wrote:portland wrote:Jeremey wrote:Hopefully Mr P will give everyone something to talk about soon....

On the other hand though, I am enough in reality (not much, but enough ) After all, how much in reality can a true loon be.that it won't ruin my entire life being if it doesn't happen. My life doesn't depend on Steve Perry releasing a new CD. But the hope and faith is there for me this time.
