Doesn't This Seem Like Something You Could Hear SP Say?

Decades of criticism have taken their toll, and Phil Collins says he has little desire to create more music beyond his new disc of Motown covers, Going Back. "I sometimes think I'm going to write this Phil Collins character out of the story," the singer says. "Phil Collins will just disappear or be murdered in some hotel bedroom, and people will say, 'What happened to Phil?' And the answer will be, 'He got murdered, but, yeah, anyway, let's carry on.' That kind of thing."

Sounds like everyone is disenchanted with the state of the music business these days....I can imagine constant criticism, coupled with a creative temperament and the quest for perfection would not be a winning nor healthy combination for one's mental health.

Living in constant pain like Collins does will make you say some wierd shit...

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
