We always think of Perry just sitting at home counting dollars but then stories like this pop up, usually with young and up and coming artists. I'm pretty sure he helped produce a song for Steve Lukather's Son Trevor also a few years back.

Perry's good natured bonhomie & the world’s most charmin smile, knocked fans off their feet. Sportin a black tux, gigs came alive as he swished around the stage thrillin audiences w/ charisma that instantly burnt the oxygen right out of the venue.TR.com

You're right. I actually went to Trevor's show at the Key Club with Deano and JSS.There were quite a few of MRs fine women members there also.

I really believe SP loves to be in the studio...too many sightings and stories of him contributing. I think the quote about the recording process being a love-hate relationship with him... he's talking about his own recording experience...not working with other artists.

I agree with you on this; I can see where recording something of your own would take a lot of the creativity out of the process. I think recording someone else would be a totally different experience. I think he likes using his own experience to help others, too.

Why is it such a crime for an artist to decide not to release something? I know the fans would love to hear everything their favorite artist creates, but if the artist feels it is not up to their standard, isn't it their perogative whether or not it gets released?

I can sort of see how blending your styles and artistry with other artist's can be much more enjoyable than coming up with everything yourself. When you're not the only one involved in the project, you can take a step back and see what others are contributing, and build on to what they have done or filled in the spaces.

... at this point Perry releasing a fart tape would prolly eclipse Eclipse...

Yup! New World from Ever Changing Times is a frickin brilliant song! It's so damn good, Steve Lukather doesn't (or maybe can't) play it live! Seriously though, it is among my favorites on that album and it is a shame it doesn't get played.

Oh, is that series still on the air? I've never watched a show...just saw the promos.

They're in their last season of Chuck - season 5! One of my favorite sitcoms! And, Yvonne is smokin' hot!
