Great interview!! Holy crap though........3 years to make FTLOSM!!!? No wonder we haven't had anything new!! Steve is too much of a perfectionist. I'm amazed Journey got so many albums out so fast in the 80s, but I guess the label was pushing things back then. Left to his own devices, I guess he thinks it's never good enough to release, and nothing anyone says is going to change his mind. Frustrating for his fans, but nothing we can do but wait, I guess.

3 years to do FTLOSM. 1991-1994.
Left Journey in 1988 and didn't listen to music for 2 years. 1988-1990.
Against the wall 1990-1991 ish? Could not sing at Billy Graham Tribute.

The math does not make much sense.

Also it is a shame he left 3 awesome songs off FTLOSM

Imagine it with Let Go, Lost Angels, and Home at Last.

I can't seem to find Let Go anywhere. Is it still available somewhere?

He was/is a perfectionist, but he was also missing his two strongest assets on the Medicine album...Schon and Cain. They brought the best out of each other. After nearly 10 years apart, they put together TBF in a short amount of time....and they did one helluva job with it!

I totally agree, although it seems many here would not!! I read in one interview where Steve said he works better when given a deadline (I think it was Andrews interview, actually). Maybe someone should give him one.
