So Don Henley...

Postby ADALBL » Fri Jul 31, 2015 11:17 am

...has a new album coming out in late September. It's been a long time since he put out new material and it got me thinking it Steve doing the same. I've got to believe he is working on material and getting some ready for release. It's also been a little while now since his live performances so I wonder if he has quietly been working on a new release and preparing for at least a limited tour. Man I miss his songs and voice.

I play some of his music every day, my new favourite is Home at Last. Still, something new would be so welcome. His voice just does it for me, even though it sounds different now. It's just the emotion that he puts into his songs that keeps me coming back. I live in hope that he will release something new someday.

would love to hear something new.
i wonder if the failure of I stand Alone, in addition to the Quest for Camelot movie really turned him off releasing anything new.
(in addition to the Against the Wall release When your in Love) both 1998. Really his first singles w/ or w/o Journey to chart

Henley has also been out touring and singing for 10-15 years straight. Having him do a new album and tour is probably not that tough for him.

Perry, even with his mini appearances last year, probably isn't in the same shape as someone that has continued to perform.

Would be great to hear some new stuff. But I think I gave up hoping it would happen a few years back.

I've heard two of the tracks off of Henley's Cass County album and they were pretty good.

Listening to the Henley album now and the vocals are still great with that same "it" factor. I know Perry would do the same... and I do believe he is going to surprise us with a full release out of nowhere... soon... :-)

I have been listening to the new Henley CD for a week or so now. Very good!! Right now it is my second favorite cd by him, with The End Of... being my favorite. He still can sing and write good songs.
