I doubt we will ever see anything, which is fine. I used to hope that he would put something out, but at this point I have - like most of the music world - moved on. If he does, I will take a listen. If not, I have thousands of other songs and artists to carry on with. Not a criticism of him, just my thoughts.

I've often wondered who will own the rights to his music. I'm sure he has given them strict instructions!! But if we have to wait until then, that would be such a shame. He would never know how it was received.

SP has 1 grown daughter (that we know of). I think she will inherit his estate. Like you said, I'm sure everything is planned out. SP is not the type of person to leave loose ends.

So last November? Steve of all places goes on a sports talk interview, says he's been in the studio for the last year, with 50+ songs at his disposal, and now nothing since? In this day and age how does he keep everything secret? Gag orders on all the musicians? Or is he in then studio only to make demos? I know its only Sept, and hope something will be released.

Its odd for his refusal for any interviews. I know thats typical Steve in the early 2000's, but lately he has been giving some.
If he truly had a new album coming wouldnt this be great promotion?

Lora and Cyndy if you are here in the near future...please make sure that Steve knows that we are still waiting. He promised and hasn't delivered. He said it out loud on Uncle Joe's radio station when he was wishing him Happy Birthday. And made a point of mentioning on Fanasylum. Uncle Joe he respects and genuinely likes...so to not have it out...well...he proved last night he was a man of his word...we're waiting for the other half of his word too.

No need to put a year on it, right? Because we all know it is tentatively scheduled for THIS coming October. He was involved in the Wonder Woman film, so we can all wait. Like Lora said, it will be worth the wait. And thanks Lora and Cyndy and T. McQuaid and Jeremy H., and perryfan and Memorex and many others who are true fans and most importantly friends of this man. You may not know him to be called a personal friend, but you are a friend, nonetheless. Someone who sticks by him, through it all. Look forward to hearing from The Voice soon.

Yea - he's really flooded the market with new music over the last 20 years. I can't take it. Enough already.

Yep, saw that tweet also. Totally believe it!!! Interesting: Jon is told by management that Steve is coming to RRHOF and Neal is told by Steve personally (backstage at RRHOF) that his album is finished and Neal confirms this on Twitter and The Real Music Observer says that it is confirmed by Steve's manager (who lists Katy Perry as a client, but not Steve...considering the nature of the person and the recognition of said person...not surprising) AND by a top guitarist in the industry...(and NO its not Neal). And there is an internet article stating the solo album is tentative for October.
