Neal Dedicates "Lights" to Steve at Bridgestone

Postby Gina3008 » Tue Aug 28, 2018 12:45 pm

I was at Journey's concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Saturday 8/25/2018. Neal talked about his writing Lights with Steve and dedicated the song to Steve personally.

I thought I may have not heard him correctly but I found this link on YouTube:

Don't know why youtube uploader called it "Farewell to Steve". I was there and it felt like Neal was really reaching out to Steve.

I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I could hear everything Arnel was singing but Def Leppard's music was So Loud you really couldn't make out many of the words.

Is Mr Perry the kind of guy that holds on to a grudge like it’s his last cup of water and he’s lying out in the desert and it’s about 106 degrees or can he forgive and let bygones be bygones and take a gulp. lol! I guess we’ll see. There is nothing I see that makes me believe he’s a pushover. But then it’s been a few years and time changes people and what was so important all these years before might not be anymore. If I were Neil..stop it. And who apologized about what was said and done. I am so curious but I am more excited Mr Perry is out there singing. lol. There’s always something.

Gotta let him focus on his music and what brought him out of the shadows first. Hopefully at some point he will be ready to broaden the horizon. I waffle between there is no water under the bridge - and - he needs to reconnect first. As much as i'd like to see it, i think i am ok with it never happening(but oh how grand it would be). Atleast we have new music, and hopefully there will be plenty more to come.
