More versions of Open Arms. Just what I needed.

Another version of THE VOICE himself singing with a LEGEND of country if OPEN ARMS is what the world needs more of.

A duet like this should be something new and original.

Hey,

I don't know about anyone else but this sounds really interesting and I can't wait to hear it along with the other duets on her upcoming album. Dolly is a great singer and this could be a really great album, not to mention it might remind some people about how great music used to be an could be again.

https://youtu.be/4A_O4kZVPY8?si=v8lP-vV_ep3eOnI9. Dolly nails this one and a typical perry background and harmony vocals . Sings none of the verses.a duet, no.

Good thing I didn't have high expectations. I wonder if there was any give and take on this song. It's her album, so I can understand why she wanted to be prominent through it all. Still, when she had such great rock legends on this album, she could have used them a bit more and let them shine, too.

From what I understand, she recorded the songs herself and the idea of including the original artists came afterwards. A good amount of the tracks with the classic rock singers are harmonies.

Years ago Reba Mcentire wanted Perry to do a duet with her, but he turned her down. I wonder why he turned her down but did one with Dolly?

Maybe he loves big breasts? But then again, who doesn't :?: :?: :?:

It seems to me that these rock stars thought this was sort of a 'historical event' to be on Dolly's album. It's kind of a toned-down version of We Are The World. I don't think even Dolly thought she would get such a great response and threw out the invitations just for the heck of it.
Steve probably had fun doing it, and that's a good thing.
I definitely won't buy it, and doubt if I will listen to this version of the song again.

I gave it a listen and it sounds somewhat decent but it's not something that I have any interest in buying. I find it comical too that he thumbs his nose at Journey but then all of his output for the last couple years and been nothing Journey related material.
