New Sammy interview - Whaddaya think?

Andrew posted this on the front page. Very interesting:

Seems like Sammy is rock and roll's version of Jimmy Buffett. Still love the guy, but he is a far cry from the "Red Rocker".

Sounds like he's having a great time, and at the age of 57, still rocking harder than most. Good on him.
Not sure why the criticism that he's a 'far cry from the Red Rocker'......who gives a fuck??

Very likely not Sammy, who still rocks hard, does what he loves for a living, has a woman 20 years younger than him, and keeps getting those big VH royalty cheques in the mail......

Hey, I ENVY that dude. He is still a rocker, I just mean the image he is cultivating is very different from the one he had in the 70's and 80's, that's all. I still aspire to be him one day! 8)

Kenny, did you see that show on VH1 (I think) that was an hour long about his life? His UNBELIEVABLE huose on the beach, hot wife, and constant partying? He truly enjoys life, and appreciates everything he's got. It's sad that Eddie seems to be the opposite.

ANd these festivals and stuff and saying he wants Eddie to come and play shows with Montrose and the Waboritas. :?: ranting about the fans would love it.... I like his solo albums from Marching To Mars on, but I think he's grossly overstating the size of his die hard hard core fan base and kidding himself if he thinks Eddie would g o NEAR montrose or the Wabos. He needs to concede some ego acreage as does Edward.

I'd like to see VH tab Dave again, and I don't think Sam would care. He could keep putting out albums and touring on his own, he obviosuly is working prolifically.

I think Ed is done with guitar period for now.

But, ED sure had his trademark red white and black stripes painted all over Sammys stage in Cabo until Sammy left VH. They used to jam together down there when they were buds.

VH RIP.

I appreciate Sammy in that he continues to put out music and appears to do it for the love and the fans that remain.

Yes, I'm new to the board.

ed has been done with guitar for years now. I was at indy last year,he got lost on his own songs. There are way too many players out that can smoke him now, so enjoy them.
