Another one bites the dust

Another day, another celebrity divorce. This time, the couple splitting up is Heather Locklear and her husband of 11 years, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. The Spin City and Melrose Place star filed divorce papers yesterday (February 2nd), citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. The TV vixen is requesting "physical custody" of their eight-year-old daughter Ava Elizabeth, and visitation rights for Sambora. She has also asked the court to make sure their pre-nuptial agreement is honored.

Locklear and Sambora were engaged seven months after being introduced by a mutual friend. They tied the knot in Paris in 1994. It was the first marriage for Sambora and the second for Locklear. She had been married to first husband Tommy Lee for nearly eight years.

As recently as December, Locklear was denying that anything was wrong with their marriage. She issued a statement to the New York Daily News that said, "The truth is that after 11 years together, we are still happily married. Boring but true."
