What Do You Think Of The TLFR DVD?

Personally I like it and I HATE "all acoustic" shows and stuff as a rule. The arrangements were good, atmosphere of the Borgata great and the crowd good.
Sambora can play....love the slide on Bad Med...

I prefer the DVD over the album itself.

The re-makes don't really do it for me. I like the new versions of It's My Life, Everyday, Born to Be My Baby but I dislike all the others.

I do like the live version of You Give Love a Bad Name though, where Jon doesn't use that weird nasely voice he uses on the album.

The DVD has Last Man Standing and Thief of Hearts, two of my favorite BJ songs! Great stuff!!! Plus, it has some other BJ songs that translate great acoustically.

Plus, the overall vibe of the live show is better than listening to the album..

So to make a long story short...I recommend the DVD, but not the ablum.

Appreciate it, dude.
I'm in line with your thinking, that these songs rearranged acoustically, probly work better in the live setting. So I haven't yet been compelled to pick up the studio version and probly won't until I find it used.

I thought Jon ALWAYS used that nasally voice live now. It is one of the things that has really turned me off about seeing Bon Jovi live anymore...

He's sang that way on the last three albums also.
Richie's the best singer in the band by far.

Anybody seen the Motley Carnival of Sins concert? Neil sounds horrible. It sounds like he has a clothespin on his nose.

Bought it the day it was released. Love it. I am biased as MC's a top 5 band for me. Yes, Vin's a little off but still better than his pre GGG days. Given the reviews of the show I was prepped for the worst and pleasantly suprised. I'm able to look certain vocal foibles in rock shows/albums in favor of the sum of the parts. Do you havehe dvd, NealIsGod?
