I was at that Van Halen Pittsburgh concert in 1998 and they announced that they were gonna record it for a radio broadcast. When it came on the radio a month or two later I taped the whole thing.. HEre is an interesting little trivial story about that concert for all you DIE HARD Van Halen information junkies. At that show they played Romeo Delight. ( I saw five shows on that tour and, actually, they would alternate Romeo Delight with I'm The One..I love both songs ) But anyway, during Romeo Delight Eddie did a fantastic solo. Basically, like the one on the album but with some slight variation. It was very good and then after that when the music gets quiet and he plays that soft guitar part before they get heavy again there was a technical problem. Everytime he went to play the mellow part he still had this dirty distorted sound on his guitar and he was very demonstartive about his frustration with this. He was gesturing to his head and with his hands like "Goddamnit!!!"He started the part like two times and still ahd the wrong sound on the guitar. The guitar tech fixed it finally and they resumed the song..I wondered if when they broadcast the show on the radio if they would leave this in or if they would just take the whole song out all together. They DID broadcast the song , but edited out that technical glitch part..
