SCORPIONS Humanity Hour 1 Tour

My Partner Shaggy And I went to see The Scorpions last night, and they were absolutely amazing...just like I knew they would be ( you wouldn't guess I was a fan would you LOL)..we saw them at the Manchester Apollo, anyone else seen them in the UK this weekend at Rebel Rock n' Blues , or in London..what did you think...infact anywhere else in the world if you've already seen the guys on their Humanity Hour 1 Tour what did you think?
Just interested to read different views :-)

I would go and see them if they came here, but I doubt they will. I really like their new album though.

I agree their new album is excellent...but maybe i'm just biassed :-)

It's ashame they won't travel to your neck of the woods they truly are amazing, I've been a fan of them since i was just into my teens--A loooooooooooooooooong time! LOL...they just never seem to make a wrong move...

well I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the tour score, maybe they will come along if enough people get on to them about it, who knows? :-)

I saw them last night at Hammersmith, London. I was impressed with the energy they had on stage and the sheer entertainment value they provided - a throwback to the days (before Nirvana ruined everything with grunge) when rock bands went out of their way to give you a feelgood concert and actually looked like they were enjoying themselves on stage. The appearance of Uli Jon Roth for a few songs dampened that energy for a while, but the band finished as strongly as they started. Good value for money.

The less said about support act Michael Schenker the better. He seriously needs help and there is no way he should be appearing on stage in his current condition.

Yep I felt the same way too Marty as did my partner Shaggy, about MSG that is. It's such a shame to see a talent being needlesly wasted. :-(

Good value for money is exactly what we thought about the Scorpions though, I couldn't believe how long they were on the stage. It is great to see a band that has been on the go as long as they have still having the ability to produce music people want to listen to, and to still perform like they did in their youth. I can only say Brilliant, and awe inspiring for me.... :-)

You are right about the feel good factor, it made shaggy and I feel good, we were grinning from ear to ear...well quite like cheshire cats actually!..and I think the fact that they played many of my favourites was a factor too...

Because the band are so dynamic on stage and because they use a really good light show I think the pics have come out pretty well. Enjoy.

Fantastic pictures.

I`d like to see the Scorps again as the last time was probably the early 90`s.

New album is great, kind of rekindled my interest in them.

There may have been a set list posted elsewhere that I`ve missed, could anyone post one please.

I dont think it will be, I saw Klaus Meine Rudie Schenker and Matthias Jabs talking about Humanity Hour 1, and the one thing that Rudie Schenker said was that this album proves that they still are relevant and they still have something to say as a band.
I would interpret that as meaning that means they have still got it, which let's face it they have

and they will still be around....to quote from Monty Python *always look on the bright side of life*
