VH in Indianapolis

Took my son to the show and drove from Maryland. Stopped and saw Grandpa for a couple days which was great for my son!

The show was absolutely awesome but Wolfie could have thrown in a few more VH greats like Take your Whiskey Home & Bottoms Up! Diamond Dave was on fire and they sounded great but I miss the VH Thunder Drums and they were not as loud as I had hoped although they rocked the house. I will also say VH brings out the Beauties. This concert had more sweet looking women than I have seen in a long time at the show and the VH boys had some Hot Little Mommas stashed right below our seats. I did tell my son after he pointed them out to me, see man learn to shred on that guitar and life will be very good! LOL!

there is clearly some obvious or seemed obvious, things going on in the band. We sat right above the mix board and Dave would come over and gesture to them to turn him up maybe and Ed went right behind him EVERY time within a second seeming to Over rule Dave. This happened about 10 times through the night. Second every time Dave would get out in front of Ed (upstage him) either Wolfgang would basically chase after him seeming to corral him almost reminding him he is not to do this and Dave would come back to the "line" that was clearly drawn or Ed & Wolf would start jumping around together.

Dave would be in the line with Ed & Wolf and get to the edge of the stage and a few times Ed & Wolf went together and seemed to pull the focus from Dave. Dave would also seemingly realize he was out front too far and look to his left and appeared to measure "the line" with his Mic stand. It appeared he would mark the spot he was not to pass and then he would stay in a very narrow range. Ed said something to him and smiled and walked away a couple of times after he did this almost like good dog!

There also seemed to be a limit on the kicks and spins as Dave clearly still has the flexibility of a much younger man. One kick and done Never a combo or a spin then a kick. I don't know but there also seemed to be a limit on his screams. He did about 5 and they were simply as good as ever but he was very limited in the use of them even though the crowd went wild after each one.

There was also one time after an apparent wolfie corral of Dave where dave moved back to the center in line and Ed walked over to say something again and Dave seemingly cleared him out with the Mic stand circling his body in a perimeter almost saying Bitch this is my territory and you are in it.

I know I am not crazy as my vanatge point at side stage and watching the actions was very clear to me. They seem to "get along" for the cash and Dave has been relagated to secondary star from Primary show stealer as in the past.

In my book Dave still stole the show and it was clear when Dave went around through the show he was the main attraction. The fans would go crazy and all he did was come to one side and wave of course behind Eddie!

There was clearly not a solid friendly we love ya bond any longer. And it appears to me Dave has been told to turn it down. Ed played great guitar but his little jumps pale in comparison in showmanship to Diamond Dave"s. The crowd was there to hear a reunion and the old songs that put Van Halen on the map and they got it. However, most all came to see Dave and that was clear to me!

Don't miss this one man! If you are a VH Fan you will kick yourself if you do not go! Beware though Flashbacks may occur! It was crazy the things I remembered while watching a show I had waited for to happen for many years!

Thanks for a great time! But turn Diamond Loose man!

Dave probably has to use a little caution with his voice so he dont blow it out. I cant believe he has any stage rules to behave in any certain way. He sounds better that ever to me. Ed,Wolfie,Al look like they are havin a good time, Dave looks like he's the happiest man on earth.
