This topic is quite unique and interesting to me. Not necessarily what West did to Swift, but how some people are reacting. A guy (West) does something that make some people feel he was motivated by self racism and then a bunch of other people label those people as racist. The focus turned from what the guy (West) did into an argument on who's racist because they feel motivative factor(s) were involved. Just because someone thinks someone is doing racist things doesn't make them racists themselves. Or does it?

What disgusts me the most about adult life is when we were kids we all got along no matter what was going on, including what the adults in charge were up to. Now as adults, we don't get along at all regardless. We got along better as kids then we do as adults.

When we were kids we'd all get together and play a game of baseball at the school yard during summer vacation. If someone fucked up, we'd kick their ass and then get on with life. As adults if someone fucks up, the people fucking up just blame the others for why things got fucked up. As kids we took responsibility for fucking up among our group of friends, as adults rarily do any of the people fucking up ever take any of the responsibility for their actions.

I went on YouTube to watch the videos at the centre of the controversy and I certainly prefer Taylor's video of 'You Belong With Me' over Beyonce's video of 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring On it)'. My favourite in the category is actually Pink's video for 'So What', but at least they were worth watching - story based and fit the song. Beyonce's video was nicely shot in black and white, but the choreography and dancing were terrible - it was just her and two other women shaking their booty through the song and not well.

If Beyonce won Video of the Year for that, I'm thinking that Journey shouldn't feel bad about the videos they made in the 80s! I'd rather watch every video they ever made on repeat for 12 hours straight than have to watch the 'Single Ladies' video one more time.
