O.T. My new band (and song)

Postby Chevypv » Thu Sep 03, 2009 11:07 am

A while ago I posted a song by my band which I played lead guitar on...
well, I have a new band, and this time around im doing alot more than just lead guitar. I take the Lead Vocals on this song, as well as trumpet and mandolin at the end. Tell me what you guys think.

P.s. don't be too hard on the guitar solo, my rhythm/lead guitarist that I trade off with on lead hadn't written a solo yet and he just stuck in some noodling as a place holder.

P.p.s Its a VERY rough mixdown, basically just a few levels and thats it, no eq's, minimal reverb and such...

Okay... FINALLY got it!  I have to say that the style isn't my cup of tea (I'm very picky about the type of music I like, so I'm probably the wrong person to be commenting here). I do have to say though, that I did like that change you did towards the end of the song though. I wish you the best of luck with your tunes!

Is a rough sound..you have a very nice tone of voice, seem to me you need a little more training; the song is great, i like it! Good luck

actually you'd be suprised. Im classically trained...but I had just gotten over a REALLY bad cold, and quite honestly, singing that style of music is nothing like singing with a symphony or a choir ( I have done both)... Now that you say that it concretes my decision to re-record that song the next time Im in the studio. thanks.

The band sounds great. I like the tempo of the song and the guitars sound damn good. The vocals are good, they just need some chorus or echo or something. I know that was addressed in the earlier post. I liked it.

ouch....not good. Didn't like it at all. But....there is promise in the lead vocal sound. Not bad, just needs a better tune to showcase the vocal on.

I thought it was pretty good. Sounds like some of those old NWOBHM bands.
