Any Lawyers in here?

My wife's company screwed up her dental benefit paperwork and its costing us a lot of money. Just wondering if anyone had advice?

1) Talk to Human Resources to find a solution.
2) Consult an employment law lawyer.
3) Have the employment law lawyer write a letter requesting reimbursement for you.
4) If the letter doesn't work, have the employment law lawyer file a complaint.

Big problem however, is that most employees are at will employees and if they don't like you making waves, they can always
find a reason to let you go, i.e. layoff, elimination of her position, and just plain firing for any reason or no reason.

The other self help measure is to contact the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) if you have such an agency and file a formal complaint.
Usually employees are to be treated equally in terms of benefits for similarly situated persons. Again, the retaliation measures are ever present.
