Anymore news on the new "rock" album?

Postby PianoMan1986 » Sat Mar 14, 2009 6:10 am

Months ago (roughly) it was announced that the band were planning on recording a new album returning to a rock sound. Just wondering if there's been anymore info on this.

Apparently is was reported not long ago that they had 12 songs in the bag for it already. Potential release date is late 2009/early 2010. And it's being recorded in L.A. with John Shanks, who produced Have A Nice Day and part of Lost Highway.

New Bon Jovi studio album (a loud rock record if you choose to believe them) looks set for release November 11.

Yeah, I checked it out when Andrew posted it. I'll have to listen to it a few more times before I decide anything on it, but it doesn't help hearing it in an acoustic context though.

I have been thinking the exact same thing. I also have a question for those who might know. Where is Richie Sambora? He wasn't in this video of the live performance of the new song. I realize it was a private performance for the EIF, I just wondered why RS wasn't there with them. :? It is great to see Lorenza Ponce performing with them again though.

Richie is making a new solo album at Henson Studios, Studio C in Hollywood. 8)

What about Tico and David? They weren't performing in the video with Jon either. What have those guys been up to?

David was involved with a musical. Not sure what Tico is up to. Probably chillin.

That is exciting news. I hope goes back to the blues a little more. I really felt that after he pulled himself through the tough times a while back that he might have some great music come out of it. Tough times are good for that. Here's hoping...

I am a long time Bon Jovi fan and I'm very glad to hear we're getting a new rock album. Although I have purchased every cd that they have released, I'm not a country fan and I do miss the Bon Jovi that we all fell in love with.

I hope Richie's new album is a success. He sure has been through a lot the last year or so and I do love his voice so there is something else to look forward to.

Thanks for the info.

They need to lose the acoustic this time around and let these songs rock out ala Slippery when Wet.

When I heard about the new album, immediately I was excited that I might finally get the chance to see Bon Jovi in concert in 2010 :o Looks like this may happen - I came across this news post today...

The Circle World Tour is an upcoming worldwide concert tour by Bon Jovi, and will take place from January 2010 to December 2010 featuring their 11th album, The Circle

:D :D :D Hope they come to Staples or Nokia here in Los Angeles!
