Hey, all....Happy Fried-Day! \~/

Question for you:

 Did any of you see the above-mentioned movie?
If so ~ is it worth renting?

We're getting into the creepy, haunting Halloween Season,
and I want to rent a few Scary Movies.

Thoughts? Ratings? Suggestions for OTHER movies...?

I seem to remember starting a thread about this earlier this year. I was home alone and reluctant to go see it - I didn't want to come home to an empty house!
I recall it wasn't bad, but not great for me - but I really like Virginia Madsen. I think it was more 'creepy' than scary.
Try Burnt Offerings if you haven't seen it - older movie but very scary (for me, anywyay).

More creepy than scary....check. 8)

Since I'm from CT, I'm curious to see this movie.....

Oh, and Southington CT IS NOT "boondocks / outskirt" by any account....it's an old, Industrial Town outside of Waterbury.
....which makes what (allegedly) happened ALL THE MORE creepy.

Bring it on.

Audition... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audition_%281999_film%29

The key to a good horror movie is having it stick with you for awhile. This one is just insane...It's about a recently widowed man who wants to meet any random younger woman (of legal age), so he holds fake film auditions to select one of the many he meets. Once he starts to pursue and get to know one of them, he starts finding out just how fucked up she and her past really are. Lots of suspense and creepiness. I'm surprised this movie is so little known.

Saw it, wasn't that impressed.

Paranormal Activity is kinda Blair Witch type. Cost them under $100K to make, so they should make BANK on it. All reports are that it's scary as all shit.

Probably won't see the new Elm Street, only cuz Freddy looks more like Voldamort than a Freddy.

I vote for going into a haunted house with a digital recorder and doing a TAPS session of your own!

The horror genre is a touogh one. Most ideas are rehashed. Very difficult to make a good movie. But I thought this was a fair movie that I will probably watch again sometime. And given how many movies I have at home, for a disc to get a 2nd viewing is rare.

I REALLY want to check out that Paranormal Activity...there is a HELLUVA buzz going on...

I love Kingdom Hospital, and Rose Red. Kingdom Hospital was a long series of a Stephen King movie. Great watch. Surreal, funny at times, frightning a great deal.......suspenseful you bet. Rose Red for a great Ghost story, also The Haunting. And for laughs The Frighteners with Michael J. Fox. Scare and laughs.

Of course any Stephen King movie for me........modern though. I could do without the Sleepwalkers. The Green Mile, Misery, Needful Things, Storm of the Century, Apt Pupil, The Stand, The Mist, etc.........great line up I usually put in before the spooky day. :D

Oh, you mean that wickedly awesome movie that didn't use Peter Criss's actual voice, but instead used the voice of Zan from the Super Friends, Michael Bell?

ACK!!!
Tom Brady IS the G.O.A.T.

5 1/2 hours. Booyah. I know I won't get scared, I've had my own paranormal activity in real life. I thought we were having an earthquake a few months ago .... nope... just my bed shaking like a 8.0, the rest of the house, including my roommate were fine. Obviously someone wanted my attention. And then the white body shaped mist that walked past us... yeah. Movies ain't got nuthin' on me.

There's a whole bunch more of these clips...but the porn music intro makes this scene tops!

I suggest you go see Zombieland. It's a perfect mix between the zombie culture of horror/gore, suspense, and comedy.

This song is the ONLY decent thing to ever come out of this movie...

I've always loved this song, but hearing it on acoustic guitar with Peter is awesome! :D

Sigh... wasted the money on the damn movie (PA). ONE good scene. That's it.

Ok..maybe two (the baby powder). But seriously, that was far from the 'scariest film of the decade'... pfft.
