Limbaugh's bid to buy RAMS....

Postby S2M » Fri Oct 16, 2009 7:33 am

The NFL is being so hypocritical.
Limbaugh is part of a group that will bring in millions in to the league, helping one of its saddest teams. And he has not been convicted of DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide, domestic violence, trafficking drugs, DOG FIGHTING, or killing anyone, or even shooting himself in the foot....yet ONE little comment about the media wanting Mcnabb to succeed as an NFL QB has everyone up in arms?!?!?

The moment when sport's business became 51% of the pie, and sports became 49% - was the first day of the demise of the modern sporting era.

Fantasy Leagues and betting are the only two things keeping football going.
Tom Brady IS the G.O.A.T.

A media assassination if there ever was one.

I want to know why the players union and Al Sharpton aren't up in arms asking Braylon to give the money he earned here in Cleveland over the last 20 games back to Randy Lerner or better yet the citizens of Cleveland/Browns ticketholders? The guy totally quit on us, didn't try at all, and made millions doing it. Or why they aren't up in arms about the things you mentioned.

The funniest part about all of it is that none of the Rams players cared who they played for when asked. When you're making seven figures doing something you love, do you care who signs your fuckin check? Plus, the Rams have bigger problems to worry about, such as figuring out how to win a game

Yeah, then the media acts like it was such an outrageous charge.

A few years ago I saw a story on ESPN how the starting center for the Vikings was "the only starting black center in the league". They were so distraught and spent the whole segment trying to find a reason and solution for this problem!!!!
Rush was right on the money as usual and they hate him for calling them out!

I couldn't agree more. Now were getting ready to see if the laws in the USA will support a conservative these days.

While I personally think Limbaugh is the biggest waste of oxygen on the planet, I certainly have zero problem with the guy owning anything he wants to own. That said, your comment suggesting that football wouldn't survive without fantasy leagues and betting is moronic. You apparently have never been to a sports book in Vegas, because there isn't a sport on the planet that you can't bet on. Sure, football gets more action, because it's the most popular sport in this country, BY A LONG SHOT, and that wouldn't change with or without betting and fantasy leagues!
