Um... dont feel bad for UCF... I would say Nike will get the contract next... and Air Jordans will be all the rage...

Jordan was the best CLUTCH player in his time... Wilt was the BEST and most dominating player ever!! MAGIC and BIRD were great... Bill Russell and lew Alcinder (Kaream Abdul Jaber were not a sloouches themselfs.

While Jordan may of not been the best player in the history of the game (Bird, Magic, etc.) he certainly changed the face of basketball forever and he became the NBA. In any sport, you could argue who the best is all day, but when it comes down to it, it's image, domination, and championships.. and Jordan defined the game of basketball of not only his time, but quite possibly for the rest of the existing game of basketball.

I saw Robin Williams live at the UCF arena a couple of weeks ago and when he opens his act, he likes to say a few jokes that are "local" related. So he points down at his Nike shoes and says something like " I'm here at the UCF arena wearing my Nike's." and he made a joke about he and Marcus being the only ones allowed in the building with them,, making fun of the whole thing. Robin talks to fast to remember half of what he says though, so I can't remember exactly how the jokes went   It was about a day after it had been all over our local news. So the crowd when nuts laughing, cheering and clapping. Pretty funny.

Edit: here's what was said

"Sporting a pair of black-and-orange Nikes, Williams opened the set by apologizing for wearing the shoes, but added the coach said it would be OK. He explained that he and Marcus Jordan (Michael's freshman, basketball-playing son at UCF) were the only ones allowed to forgo adidas."
