I'm sorry, but would any of you do what this guy did? Ring up the local precinct (a day after you've found it, and gotten your fingerprints all over it, obliterating any other potential marks on the weapon), tell them you're stopping by but not tell them why and show up, and take out a sawed off shotgun without even giving a warning what's in the bag.
There has to be more to this story.
In his statement, he said: “I took it indoors and inside found a shorn-off shotgun and two cartridges.
“I didn’t know what to do, so the next morning I rang the Chief Superintendent, Adrian Harper, and asked if I could pop in and see him.
“At the police station, I took the gun out of the bag and placed it on the table so it was pointing towards the wall.”
