Wow! I never knew towns like that still existed

I'd rather live in Iraq than live in a dry town , fuck

na man.. all you had to do was drive one mile out of the city.. liquor stores everywhere.. neon as far as the eyes can see....

What happens when I run out of beer at 1 am and need to drink more?

Well PA's laws with the "state liquor store" thing is weird to me too. I mean that limits you too. And the beer distributors only have certain hours. I remember you could buy up to 2 six packs to take out of a bar though? Is that right? So many crazy laws!

Yeah. Stupid shit. I'm glad to be out of that antiquated state! We always had to buy like 4 cases of beer just in case we ran out

Can you buy beer and wine in the grocery stores in Ohio? I can't remember. It was so strange to me when I moved here to see all that stuff sold in convenience and grocery stores! I mean Florida is SO southern and conservative but then they sell it in the stores.

Texas is still really conservative. Southern Baptists have a strong hold. We have what's called "Blue Laws" that control a lot of things, including when department stores can be open, when alcohol can be sold, and what types of alcohol can be sold and such. I love your pic, btw.

Thanks Rick:)

Florida has some towns that still have the blue laws. In my town you can't buy alcohol after 2am and before 9am, which sucked when I was trying to buy a bottle of wine one morning, to use for dinner, and I was shopping at 8am :x I DON'T get that. We can buy it on Sunday though. The next town over however, you can't. I don't think we have any true dry towns though! I bet there were some years ago though for the reasons you're saying!!

The blue laws are eroding year after year here. Before we couldn't buy anything but beer here in Bedford, but now we can buy wine. I was stunned when I went to California and saw liquor in the grocery stores.

We can buy beer and wine in our grocery stores, but liquor has to be sold in a licensed liquor store. NOT run by the state though. They have private owners.

Well, CA does have the "no sales after 2am" law as well, which I always hated as a college student. :p

Also, I wasn't even aware that other states didn't sell liquor in grocery stores until I went to New York last summer. I didn't think CA was that wild and crazy, but there you are, I guess.

The liquor stores here close at nine and are closed on Sunday. Beer and wine can be bought in the grocery stores of "wet" cities here until midnight, and 1am on Saturday. There are still quite a number of "dry" cities in this area. Irving being one of them.
