My Band's First Album - Hellsweb's Heaven Can Wait

Postby A. M. Scott » Mon Nov 23, 2009 11:10 pm

Hello Guys,

I'm not really good at announcements and I'm not good at English either so please pardon me :-) Many of you know that I'm currently working on G.I.Jim's COLD HEART where I sing and play guitar..well..I also have a band called HELLSWEB which with I'm pre-producing the album "Heaven Can Wait" eventually published in late 2010 by DDE Record in Italy and Wordlwide through iTunes and other online music stores. The band is playing hard rock and that's a little bit heavier than what COLD HEART does. All I wonder is if you guys would like to give us some feedback on 3 songs (2 of 'em are full and 1 is just a clip) that you can find at www.myspace.com/alexmarkscottband .

The band is a 5 pieces: Dave Rinaldi at drums, Ruben "LW" Bellucca (also on Cold Heart) at bass guitar, Jakk Moretti and I at both rhytmic & lead guitars, and just me on the lead vocals. I said 5 pieces cause we're adding G.I.Jim on keyboard as well :-) :P

Well. I'd really appreciate any comment...bear in mind the songs just need the final mix and certain vocal parts will be re-done. I'm very anxious to know your point of view.

These are the Songs:
HALEY PAIGE (Name on a Stone)
BREAK THESE CHAINS
THE THORN

Meanwhile if you'd like to check out the rest of the songs you find there, well..those are from my solo project and it would be great to have your feedback about it too...

Thanks to you in advance for any comment, it doesn't matter if its + or - .... you're welcome..

You sound good, Alex. The first song, Haley Paige, from what is there I think it lyrically needs work and I don't care for the intro with the metronome ticking but musically it sounds good and the acoustic guitar is great. Have to say on that one your speaking voice and the talking intro sound very much like Shawn Mullins...and the song even reminds me a little of Lullaby....

Break These Chains sounds good and sounds similar to Cold Heart songs. The Thorn is more of a rocker then what I've heard from you and sounds great.
Keep up the good work, you are a very good guitarist and have a nice voice....just try not to strain when you "rough it up" like on Out Of Your World....maybe not get so "gravelly"....maybe a little bit less is more? You sound very good and the most natural on Time And Again. Well done! :)
