The CD is great, this is definitely the worst song on there though.

Haven't heard the CD and like JJ, but thought this song sucks. Had to force myself to listen to it all the way through to see if it got any better. It did not.

Not crazy about this song, but a great concept!!
Vid reminds me of an advertisement for 80's music.

Would love to listen to the rest of it, though!!!

It's well worth a listen. As close to vintage Survivor sound as you're going to get unless JP also teams up with Dave Bickler for a side project as well.

yep, and the video isn't much better, being VERY low-budget. Bad song all around, but the cd is actually pretty good. JJ's best solo album, even though it's a few songs too long. It's better than the Empires cd from a few years ago, and light years improved from When Love Comes Down. Better than the last Survivor cd, for that matter. The ONLY reason I could see listening to that song though would be to hear Dave Bickler sing lead for about 5 seconds. Not enough to salvage it however.

it is a magnificent cd. I listen to it everyday.

get it. Amazon and iTunes.

http://www.amazon.com/Crossroads-Moment ... 635&sr=8-1

samples here.

if JJ sings "Lost" at MRfest II, I wanna sing backup. is he coming, DREW?? CALL HIM!! hehe

Battersea is way cool and Bittersweet is very.... bittersweet.

When Rock Was King is just a fun song that is about being in the limelight in the day. It is so cool with all the guest vocalists. ('specially Mickey Thomas)

get it.

drew-call him. hehehehehe nagnagnagnag...............

live video..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHRvYP9oDeA

he performed in Spain last night and the 26th. he'll be at Mohegan on Dec 5th.

Don't like the song and the video is just so full of cheese.

Nothing against Jimi and Jim, but this is awful.

Agreed. MUCH better stuff below.... Try these.

Crossroads Moment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAnq3CwJ8DI
Can't Look Away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcGbQL5moUc
Love the World Away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVB4ERvzyQc
Alive (the non-sappy ballad) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gl6mp8hfhUY

It's not exactly classic Jamison-era Survivor, but it's about as close as one is going to get with Jim Peterik writing and JJ singing, and it's the best thing JJ has done since the Too Hot To Sleep album.

Theres not anything wrong with a little cheese. Like I said this is not the best song on the cd but Im glad Jimi and Peterik are together again. Survivor was/will not be Survivor without Jimi and Jim Peterik.

Thanks for posting. And I found these too, both great. Battersea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpp_UehND-Y

I don't like Survivor. And someone posted songs for me to check out of them and forgot to do it. But I love, love every one of these songs. The first song posted was beyond cheesy and the video an embarrassment. But these are fantastic. I'm definitely getting this CD. I may have to change my favorite CD of 2009 to Crossroads just from listening to all of these clips. But I love the European track of Alive, and that's not going to be on the US release?

That was probably me, so thanks

At any rate, here they are again. You have to remember that Survivor's Greatest Hits came basically from one album (Vital Signs), and 2 songs written especially for the Rocky movies. Vital Signs was by far their most pop album, and not a real representation at all of what they sounded like overall. The main writing team never changed much as neither singer wrote much, but the sound did. Older Survivor (with Dave Bickler singing) was a heavier guitar-based rock band. Jimi Jamison-era was a bit more melodic, and honestly, closer to the Journey sound, though the last album was a throwback to the Bickler-era hard rock approach. Most people pretty much consider them to be 2 bands.

Supposedly, no. Personally, I'd just get the Euro release, since it's not likely that you would easily find the US release anyway. Interestingly enough, the song was an older Jim Peterik song that Johnny Van Zant did for the live World Stage Rock America from several years ago. Jamison sure does sound good on it though. MUCH better to me than the sappy ballads.
